How to remove the center console armrest

You don't have remove the console from the car. I had it out because I was swapping my interior out.


Pry on the two sides of the back cover with your finger, flat head screw drive wrap in rag, or one those trim remove plastic tool.



Use a flat head screw driver and push the two hooks to disengage it from the tab.


Now open the armrest and remove the little felts cover/flap by wiggle it straight up to expose the four phillips screw that hold the armrest to the console.


Undo the four phillips screw to remove the armrest from the console.

Thanks, i actually need this. My sister's car got broken into. Those idiots couldn't open the center console so they just ripped off the top sliding part. I had to order a whole new armrest and now its time to install.

Got a pm asking if the +06 1st Gen remove the same way as -06 1st Gen. Since I don't have access to an +06 at the moment. Take a look at the drawings from the FSM. I say they're remove the same way.
