HID Fogs, Just got em..

Hey guys, I just received my hid fogs..
I went ahead and connected everything, w/o looking at the manual or anything.. (lol hard stuff i know)
Anyway, this is the set-up I got.
Is this right?

I just realized that the plug on the Bottom.. thats wrapped.. is not needed.. correct?
The part I connected it to goes to the OEM plug right?Thanks!

Oh yea, And DO I HAVE to disconnect the battery for the install?

One person (sorry forget who it was) found the wire was necessary....they said it was not an extension. I honestly can't remember if I used it or not.

You really do not need to disconnect the battery...that is done as a safety precaution. It is wiser to disconnect it though...just in case.

From the picture it looks like everything is connected so it does seem like the wire is necessary.

The bottom wire is an extension that plugs into your stock positive/negative plug inside a HL housing. The kit seems to be made for custom jobs that is why there is a rubber grommet. Since you are installing these on fogs I believe you can remove the extension, and cut off the grommet. The bulb goes to the fog housing, and your positive/negative factory wires will connect to the bottom plug minus the extension.

That plug that isn't connected next to the bulb goes into the oem connector.

Go back to Stu's thread if you're bulb doesn't light up. There's one plug that has to connect the opposite way.

Hey guys! Fogs installed and working!
I turns out that extra wire with the mesh around it was not needed.
I will post pics in a few!

PPICCCCSSSSSS!! Everything came out well.. Right side was a pain in the ass.. lol

I mounted the ballast inside the reinforcement. As shown here

At least one of my ballasts already came undone and is chilling in the bottom of the bumper.

haha.. stu mount them inside the reinf. it fits almost too perfect!! lol

I think I will redo it when I swap out bulbs, if I ever return them.

I couldn't take off my bumper. I do need to drill some holes though and mount it to the reinforcement bar.

I think he ordered 5000K. He just took the picture right when he turned the lights on.
