help guys..

When i started the car this morning the AWD Light came on
but the VDC and SNOW did not illuminate...
so I drove for a while about 20 miles... still on ....
I tried starting the car again and .... still there...

What does that mean? that all wheel drive is on full time? like a subaru?
I have tried VDC on off Snow ON off... etc etc.....

the drive felt somewhat similar to normal.... but in a way it seem harder... I am not sure
I think just seeing the light got me worried so but no vibration and or funny feeling inthe car....
just the light....
And i have not done anything to the car recently for this to occur..
Please lemme know ....

Sorry guys i have tried taking the battery out and leaving it for couple hrs to reset but the light is till there

What should i do ?

Take look at the both front wheel ABS sensor to make sure the wire is in good shape. The skinnier wire that goes into the hub. There are sensors in the rear as well, but that is hidden right at the differential. I think they're lesser chance of being mangled.

This only happens to me when i pull out the AWD SOL fuse from the fusebox under the steering wheel triggering the AWD light to turn on. This deactivates the AWD and essentially becomes RWD. Don't know if this is related to your problem at hand though.

Ok thx guys ill check but that sign
Does it mean i am engaging awd full time? Or awd disabled?
Im worried i might bust something by it being driven but i have no choice till monday grrrr

checked the fuse and it was ok
checked the abs lines i guess it was all in the right spot
the battery i did with just the neg yesterday...
does it make a difference weather i have both disconnected or just the neg?

shit i am worried....

hopefully its not a actuator somekind of relay, pretty pricey if our Fx's have those. Yes do positive and neg disconnection

Im ok with the lights as long as it's not going to bust my tranny of diff / Transfer case....
it its something electrical i am fine but at the moment what really scares me is not
knowing what it could lead to...

Here at the shop c1205 relay no good omg what that means ? Hmmm can i just unplug awd and drive rwd then without any problem for long term?

Ok alil update of the situation
The awd light disappeared when
We took the relay switch out and plugged them back in..... And i drove alil and restarted a couple times and no sign as of yet
So far i am relieved but i am still going to check out the part just to see how much they run for
Any ideas? Thanks!!!!
Here are pics of where the relay is for anyone with similar problem in the future its on driver side under the glove compartment
I think mine just somewhat rebooted itself after unplug .... But it was securely inplace before so lets hope for the best

I am having the same exact problem with my 03 fx35. only difference is that after the car was towed (longhorn wrecker. a** hles) with two front wheels lifted and rear wheels on ground when i was told that the car must be towed on flatbed. At first the AWD dash light came on sometimes, it would not show on some days but now it seems like it is permanently on. Temp solution i found was turning on the vdc green dash light before starting car which disengaged the AWD function somehow, then i would turn off vdc.

anyone know if it has to do with abs sensor in differential?

Whats the fog light switch for? Are you running independent fogs?
yes that is the independant fog switch but i cant just turn the fogs on
it's connected to dtrl ..... so dtrl & fog or all of them or headlights and fog.......

Brandon Im not sure my light has never came back on after that... it was weird for me too
as i described try plugging and unpluggin that was my solution

i saw the pictures of relay switch and im trying to find it in my 03 fx35. i dont know where it is exactly, is it next to fuse compartment (left side) or right side? there are many wires but i just cant find the relay module. thnx
