I'm wondering if hard acceleration has any impacts on the car. I'm not red zoning it at all. Just accelerating to 4,5,6000 RPM. So will it?

Obviously impacts gas consumption & wear & tear. Other than that, it's designed to drive . . not last forever

Just keep it maintained, change the oil regularly . . & go have some fun.
I'd hate to have to answer your questions on track day

Haha on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say 20! Haha kidding Mike! Stop babying it and drive it like you stole it bro! Aren't you the one that's been racing cayennes @ the mall? And beating them? Are you telling me that you beat them only taking it up to 4000 rpm?

beat the crap out of it, anything that fails, upgrade:wink: first to go will be the brakes if your doing it right :shy:
what about tires? i just realized the other day how worn down my rears are. and they were rotated once already, soon to be again in a couple thousand miles. i think these came new with the car though, they almost look toast. i dont think 6k miles is right for them to last though, but they looked new. gotta find my receipt from last service and see what the tread depth was.

In my case I have an AWD so it uses all four tires for acceleration, making it impossible for peelouts. This causes even tire wear.

I also kill my rears. I light it up pretty often though. I mean . . how can you resist?
oh, i cant. best part is this one left turn on the way to school. for some reason the concrete is slicker there, so when you first start to turn and gun it the tires immediately start slipping. and once they start they dont stop. guess i gotta start tire shopping soon. not sure if i want run-flats again.

I actually took it to 6250 rpm to beat the Cayenne.

Do you have AWD or RWD?

Chirped my FX45 many times. When I did the autocross last year I could not spin out my rear even if I tried. The AWD sticks like glue!
