FX with Tints in NYC

I don't know what you been doing but you can't do that and I never heard of that. You either pay the fix it ticket and keep your tints or you take it to a shop and have the tints removed then bring proof that that tint was removed such as a receipt with it written off and the ticket will get dismissed.
 
I've heard of what jeeta said a lot of ppl do that or u could pay the ticket lol or u could do what I do..click the auto roll down when u see a cop and auto click it back up when your clear lol. If u drive past a cop knowing u have tints at a illegal limit your asking for a ticket..I rather have them down for those two seconds than pay a $90 fine.
 
Have been ticketed for having 20% tints on my RX8 at a checkpoint on 57th st between 1st and 2nd ave turning onto the 59th St bridge and getting off the BQE at McGuiness Blvd in Greenpoint.

no you just take the pics to the dmv and license plate must be visible in the pics. idk i have done it couple times

This wont work either, they will just tell you to roll up the windows. Its happened to me.
 
Sideswipe how would they magically suspect u for having tints on your front Windows if they don't see them up?..lol my point was put them down before they have a chance to see u

You're right for random encounters...but at tint checkpoints, they WILL tell you to roll up your window just so they can see. :disapointed:

Its not magic, cops are not as stupid as you are making them out to be...lol they may see you before you see them
 
anybody know if tint tickets are all just fix-it tickets and as long as you are fine with paying for it/or when lucky get out of it, that if you keep getting them, it doesn't affect your record and fear of losing your license?
