FX 45 :: 2003 Infiniti Fx45

Yes I want to drop just a bit but don't know the best way to go about that. I would like to have the come on down like yours zebra. Did you just have the plastic painted or is that a kit? I want to change out lights too. How much will cam do for it. I'm down for some HP!

I did drop off stock wheels yesterday to get powder coated gtr gray. I'm gonna put those back on with adapters on the back to get stagered look. If I don't like I may sell wheels and get GTR wheels.

On the drop. around $900 for coilovers. You can adjust the height and dampening to your liking. $225 - $275 for H&R Sport Springs. This drops about 1" - 1.25"?
If you do the installation yourself, you save about $200 - $250. You need an alignment afterward. One time alignment is around $90. Firestone Lifetime Alignment is about $180.

If you just do the springs do you still have a descent ride? Thanks for the info btw!

Mine is on BC Racing coilovers, we have them on sale next week. Go with coilovers, do it once do it right. The lowers were painted before and now the whole car is wrapped in vinyl.

Coilover install is much easier then the stock spring and struts. No spring compressor needed. If you have done suspension on cars, coilovers will be a breeze.

If you go with springs, almost all of us on here will agreed that the ride is better (solid and planted, not harsh) then the stock springs. I remember only one member that I recall was disappointed because he was looking for the floaty caddy type of ride quality which just the direct opposite of what we on here are after. :laugh:

Plenum spacer and cold air intake for cheap HP gains. Dual exhaust of course too, but it's pricey.

I may be interested in intake. I looked! Good job!! Wonder if it will make my engine light come on?

OG wheels being powder coated. Wondering if there is a cap that cover that middle hole and go without centercaps?

Where do you get headlights like that Logan. I love your fx. Wish I could wiggle my nose and mine look like yours!!

The intake will not trigger CEL. Quite a few is running with it. You mean something just to cover the axle nut? If so, just take some measurements and I'm sure there should be some kind of cap would fit, but I would worry about secure it; unless you find one that you really have to jam it in like how some of the axle cap would fit.
