Front door tint..35% / 25% / 20%

I am getting my front doors tinted tomorrow and am still on the fence with what to get. I am concerned that matching the back will make the tint way to dark at night. Does anyone have something less than what is on the back? My interior is black so it will look darker according to posts I have read. Anyone have pics?

20% is what i was told at the tint shop

In the pick i had my roof open so it looks a little lighter than the back but they are very close

I used to have 20% fronts to match the rear windows. It is just hard in my place to find somebody who would pass me a state inspection with it so I decided to take them off and replaced it with the legal 35% maximum allowable tint.

I do inspections in ma. But the legal limit here is 35% on the fronts. I put 35% and it ended up at 31% since the stock windows are already at 71%. But it looks good imo. Not too light not too dark.

I will likely go with 35%, I think 20% would look great but I think it would be to obvious and I would get pulled over rather quickly.

I asked for 20% but the tint owner told me to go with something like 17% to match the rears.

Even though the rear is 20%.. since the windshield isn't tinted, a lot more light gets in the front of the car.

Well he was right and the 17% looks like an exact match.

Never any issue getting pulled over. At least in my area, it seems cops aren't nearly as concerned with petty things like tint, weed, etc.. unless its an egregious offense (limo tint all around or smoking a blunt in front of the lincoln memorial)

Here's what you do! Go to a good tint shop, tell him your paying in CASH! Then tell them you want 18% on the front and you want the back to match. Then tell them to do the trunk at 15% and run a 15% strip across the top of the windshield, there are 2 marks on the glass that shows how low you can go. That said, keep your sunshade part of your sunroof open and If you get pulled over, tell them it was like that when you bought it!

I have 20%...it matches up pretty good. Also, have ceramic UV tint on the windshield

If you dont want to be pulled over or harrased just stick with 35%. It looks really dark when its cloudy out & at night.
and plus the dark interior makes it seem darker.

Job is done, 35% it is and I like it. Just hoping the tint clears up as they said and I have read.

It really depends on where you live and how the cops are in your area I have 5% in the front on my Sierra and 20% on my QX70 never been pulled over here in Texas

my tint shop measured 15% for the rears.. so i got 15% in the front to match

I got 20% in my fronts but I think 15% prob would had match it better since all the light comes in thru the front windshield. In my old FX I used to have 5% which in turn made the rears 1% and the fronts 3%. I measured them at work one day. Sometimes I would hate them when it was snowing but most of the time I used to love it bc no one could see inside.
