Fog Light HID Projector mod ?

I was looking on various sites that sell the higher end kits but none of them seem to have a projector small enough to fit into our fog light housing, and also , there is an issue how to hook this up to your battery as the ballast can't be just powered by your oem bulb connector.

the first gen has a bit of extra room in there where the fogs are... I built a set of projector fogs a few years ago from a set of headlights, using the original headlight projectors but cut the housing down to a minimal square size, enough to still contain the projector with the bi-zenon setup and all, and I was also able to keep the motorization so I could raise and lower the cut off from inside the car... not sure if the second gen has enough room for something like this though, only mod I had to make besides cutting the bumper a bit around the fog opening was I had to modify the washer fluid tank a bit because it was in the way... there are of course aftermarket projector fogs which should be able to fit there but an aftermarket set of real deal projector HID's will be pretty up there in $$$... search for something like piaa projector fog light, there are many that should be relatively easy to retrofit there...

heres a few pics of the ones I built... I used a yellow lens and I put leds around the inside of the lens but the leds didn't last all that long really...

I never got around to permanently installing these but had them in for a bit and they worked crazy...

I'm always impressed with Turbocads work, great job! I'd like to attempt putting in projectors in my G37 sedan fogs, should be similar to the FX fogs. Will let you guys know how it turns out

Awesome if you can make it work for the FX, I will 100% get it done from you.

Morimoto Matchbox from TheRetrofitSource is probably the smallest bi-xenon projector right now. It's only 4.5" deep so it'll fit in a pretty tight spot. Lots of guys use them for foglights. And you would have to run a relay to the battery to power it.
