Ege's newest: Mini Cooper S :)

Well now that I'm back in Turkey and I've sold off my X6 in US and Istanbul has some crazy narrow streets sometimes, I decided to get a Mini Cooper S.. It's so funny. For the amount I sold off my X6 in US, I got the Mini!

Right now, I have some basic stuff. H&R springs, some blackout and some stripes, some CF look vinyl inside.. It's a great little car.. I also realized that I really missed driving a manual trans car

NICE!! I think I've said at least a couple times before, but originally wanted a Mini, But for whatever reason, I ended up with a FX45. I would Love to have one for Vancouver, but I think after next month's visit, I won't be going up there as much. We're going to rent our beloved condo out :frown:

Prius is too expensive This is a country where a Mini Cooper S is $45000, an X6 is $160000 and a gallon of 93 octane gas is $9.5.. I think the Cooper S was the best choice for both its agility and size and price

Thanks all for the good wishes. I wanted to get a downpipe, exhaust, oil catch can etc but in Turkey they void your entire warranty even if you just change the springs :err: I think I'll wait a bit on the serious engine mods.. :frown:

I have an offset stripe on the hood and the trunk. Those stripes are stock ones from Mini, I got a custom one.. Actually, I was going to go with matte grey and regular black stripes on it but they needed to paint the entire bumpers. The cost would be too much so I gave up on the matte for now. It'd be a similar look to this:

Stu, I had to pay $62000 more just for the taxes plus at least $5000 for transportation. I've paid $67000 for the X6 when I got it and it'd come to around $134000 to get it to Turkey.. The 09 35d X6 sells around 100K Euros here which comes around $123K after the last Euro drop and USD rise. It would be both more expensive than the more economic used ones here and I'd have to keep the X6 for 6 months before selling and it'd cost me at least $1000 a month in gas to drive it in the hilly Istanbul.. In short, the change in the exchange rates killed any kind of profitability of taking it back to Turkey.
