So its been a year since i bought my fx and i wanted to start a thread of the mods I'm doin after the shark fin mod the next mod i did was the strut bar which ill post in another thread about installing it but here are the final pics :top:






After the strut bar i wanted to do something with the sound system and what i did i got 1x JL audio XD3001 mono amp and a 12w0v2-4 ported subwoofer and let me tell you this thing pounds for 300watts oh it wired where i can take the woofer out and still use the stock subs. This is a temp until i can go to a custom box in the spare tire well :idea:.

So im goin to work on the fx today got my led mirror covers (marus) painted today and going to install them, can some one chime in on how to remove the door panel i got a good idea of how but jus need a definite answer..... also big surprise on monday for the fx can't wait :top:

There are pull pins that line the perimeter of the door. Also about three bolts; one behind the silver handle and two behind the grab handle. I think there's another one, but but can't remember. There's a first gen diy that's pretty spot on. No need to disconnect the wires on the door just place a bucket/chair to hold it in place. Good luck.

OK got it thanks, how bout the mirror any particular side to start prying it?

Start at the bottom.. use a plastic trim tool or screw driver wrapped in electrical tape.. make sure you separate the mirror from the white/black pivot assembly and not the whole assembly itself..

Silicone to seal it better and the insulation tape to prevent possible wind noise at speed.. figured since the oem came this way..


You get an idea of where the pins/clips are.. rest the door on something instead of removing all the connections.



Here you can see the route I went through with the wiring.. follow the red wires and go through the black plastic housing and go out through the silver pivot/base.. you'll need to drill a small hole between that silver base and the plastic ring it resides in to prevent rubbing when you open and close your mirrors.

sorry guys been gone for awhile and dealing with school n finals but finishing the fx this weekend after getting it washed, been a while since I've been gone, but some of the new stuff she will have are custom tails, and led mirror covers will post pic this weekend :smile (2): uber excited

Didn't realize you bought Hollywood's tail lights. They look great!!
I like the red/gray .. that's what I have on now. Was thinking he should offer a purple/grey too... ( purple signifying Infiniti's color )
I'm going to need a set soon because the M on one of the decal's came off..
