I'm starting to see more Audis, Porsches and MBs with the super bright DTRL LEDs.
I think they look pretty cool. How can we pull this off for the FX headlamps? Also are those bright LED kits being sold anywhere?

Hi N2FX,

i have MY LED DTRL on order should get them in about a weeks time.
Also upgrading the License Plate Lights and Interior Lights..

As soon as i have them i will be doing this mod... The same evening i get them...

I will get some before and after shots for you... I got mine from ExtremeBrightLEDs in Ontario Canada

This look is getting played out. Much like Lambo doors and Lucerne vents, it ends up looking pretty goofy on other cars... but if you must, they do sell replicas on eBay OR you can buy actual Audi OEM for a bit more $$$

I haven't really seen it much... just on high end cars. It hasn't reached the played out point of angel eyes/halos yet. It might look pretty good in the FX housing though.

I saw a del sol with a strip that looks like a pinch molding that kinda stuck on the bottom of the light full of leds not bright like the audi ones though

Can you post a pic of the Gs and Zs with them on?
I retract my statements... for the time being. I'm not finding the classy ones, only this:

if you do go through with this please please please invest in quality LED.

Where I live here are currently an influx of older higher end cars like bmw and porsche with this mod and they cheap out and got the xmas light instead of proper high grade LED like the OEM ones.

they look more rice out than most civics on the road.

Sounds good Berto! I can't wait. I actually just finished this for the T.

So I've noticed some of the LED bulbs are not lighting up as bright or not lighting up at all. I'm not sure if the LEDs are bad quality. I like the actual housing so Im thinking of just replacing the LEDs and internal wirings. Can anyone here draw up a diagram of how to connect the bulbs, resistors, and whatever else is needed to light up the LEDs?

buy an Acura, BMW, Porsche (911 Turbo), or Mercedes to avoid getting cheapo rip offs...

I remember seeing a quote from Bob Lutz not too long ago where he said he wanted to start rigging some type of "distinctive" lighting pattern on the front of GM vehicles similar to what MB, Audi, and BMW had so you could tell when there was a GM behind you...

With the days becoming shorter I'm doing a lot more driving at night and getting blinded by more and more Hondas and other older cars with aftermarket bulbs installed. Won't be too long I think before cops start cracking down on these things.
