Does anyone think the new v6 camaro sounds like the 350z?

just by a little bit but imo a muscle car like the camaro it should never come with a v6 and just come factory with a v8 .. i know they want fuel economy but making the camaro sound more japanese is a disgrace to all muscle cars

Ditto, but you know they gotta provide a budget mobile for the broke asses. i wouldn't buy it without the V8. But the current V6 technology coming out is interesting nonetheless... BB

Maybe it'll help Chevy to stay afloat by emulating an import or even hold its resale value.
 
Sounds like my mum's Ford Focus on a cold morning. The V6 will sell well though, like the Mustang I guess.

The SS with the 430hp LS3 and 6MT for $32K is a killer deal though. I would buy one. And then probably trade it in 2 weeks later.
 
For muscle cars V8 all the way.. its a shame when i see these ICON muscle cars with V6.. SRT8 Challenger fan here!! the camaro look awesome but the challenger its something else. it looks so much like the old one!

^^^ +1 on all the above! But I think the camaro looks a lot better then the challenger imo. No muscle car should be without a v8!
 
Hey if they could put a 4 cylinder in a Mustang back in 74 they can do anything. It's one thing to be a purist, it's another to deliver a product that the average consumer will buy.
 
Ya, I don't think the US Automotive Industry should be worrying about this kind of stuff. They just need to make what sells.
 
well the camaro did come with a base model v6 for quite a while already..... its only if you pay more that you get a v8..... so its not really a break on traditions....

and the mustang started out as a 6 cylinder car w/ a i6 so theres nothing wrong w/ 6 cylinders only mustang.....
