I was just wondering how you guys feel about chrome on a car? I'm in the process of de-chroming a few bits and pieces as I kind of hate chrome with a passion.

mildly and tastefully, then no. I'm fine with the chrome on the handles, body side molding. The grille was a little too much though...

chrome rims, no no

is this because your car was broken into and people blamed it on the chrome rims?

..dont stress..

lol what?? That's not me. You got me confused with the other memeber Gsun. His car got broken into.

I'm fine with chrome a long as its not overdone, like the buicks and lincolns. On wheels, thats usually a no for me.

I like standard chrome and usually agree with manufacturer design, but I do not extra chrome. Chrome pillar post covers come to mind . . . -just not for me-

So far anything stock looks fine to me. I just don't like chrome pillars on chargers and 300s. It's very common here along with the 26's rims. Probably 1 out of every 25 cars are like that. I do agree on the buicks though, they have a lotta chrome.

I like the chrome bits and pieces around our cars and I don't feel its overdone. It makes a subtle but huge difference, aesthetically speaking. I actually upgraded to 06+ body pieces (front bumper & side skirts) just for the look. The chrome grille and headlights are a little too much in my opinion though, but good thing sport tint helps. I guess it depends on the color of the car for chrome too. I think it would be pretty cool if our cars have brushed aluminum around the pieces instead.

What parts are you trying to de-chrome? At least leave the window trim in chrome!

I have to agree that some chrome is okay, but overdoing it looks tacky. Like the Escalade's have chrome everywhere, even on the mirrors and wheels. I'm not getting rid of mine, but I just got rid of the chrome on the grill.

i prefer chrome

i would prefer a chrome. like the molding around the windows that come with the 45's. as far as wheels i like chrome wheels, but it has to be wheel that's going to complimant my ride. and you guys are right to much of anything can be overkill. like a black ride with black rims, dark tint, and then taking off what little chrome accents or what ever is left. but everyone is different that's what make us unique.
