Crack on the kinetix v+ plenum can be fixed?

Hi pros, I bought an used kinetix v+ plenum, and tried to install by myself. However, I overtightened one of the screw. There is a crack near the hole, and I heard some high pitch sound, like air leaking, from the hood right now, and I'm kinda sure the sound is from the crack. So, I'm just wondering if that is fixable. Please help!!!!!!

My guess to have it repaired the right way: remove the plenum and take it to a specialist aluminum welder.
Time to buy a Torque wrench for these types of projects. Good luck.

The thing about the Kinetix is its not aluminum or cast, its a composite material, like a rubbery plastic. I'm not sure if JB Weld can work or not. Post a pic of it. My suggestion would be to use the blue gasket sealer and maybe make a layer or seal on the inside and outside of the cracks and use the same gasket sealer and to create a seal around the entire manifold.

Since the crack occurred from over tightening the bolt, maybe put some sealant on the bolt or Loctite to prevent any leak coming from there too.

Here are some pics. I also unscrew it, and the crack seems like is just outside the hole. I mean it's not totally cracked there. Hopefully, you guys understand what I'm saying. Sorry for my bad English.

Where can I get the blue gasket sealer? Any brand suggestion? Or even any pics of the sealer?

To me that's nothing. As long as that bolt is tighten your good. It would hard for it to leak out air. I would use a little blue loctite on the bolt.

You can purchase it at just about any auto parts store.

He's right, the crack is really nothing. Use the gasket sealer around the edges and use some Loctite on the bolt and it shouldn't be an issue.

Thank you guys!!! I got the gasket sealer, and tried to install it with the sealer again. But there is still high pitch sound coming from the engine bay. Do you guys happen to know what that is? I kinda think there is not air leakage either, but the sound is really bothering me. So, is it possible to fix it if anyone happens to know whats going on there?

Does the high pitch noise gets louder as you go faster? What kind of intake do you have?

The noise gets louder as the time pass but not the speed. I'm using the fujita intake. Btw, I just took a video of what's happening right now. If you don't mind to spend little time to take a look of it, please let me know. I'll email you the video coz I don't know how to upload here. Thanks!!

Upload the video to Photobucket or Youtube and then paste the link here will work.

I agree, tha sound is like a banshee, very irritating. it sure sounds like an air leak or a partially pinched hose.
