I just got back from paying them a visit looking to see what they can do tuning wise for the FX35. I know they do alot with Z/G's so I went to see what they can do for us. Their software didn't work with my FX, so they are going to see if there is another way and will give me a call soon. They were really nice and said they would help me out if they can. I will update how this goes for people in the Dallas area looking for a tuner, as well as for anyone who might be interested in purchasing an Access Port.

I too looked into cobb as thats what the tunner I went to deals with mostly.
The tuner called them up and Cobb told him that they have nothing and needed a test vehicle. I offered them mine to keep for a few weeks and still have not heard anything back. It's been about three weeks now. Let me know if you have any luck.

I also checked with UPREV since they claim to support the FX but someone else from here has been waiting over a month and a half and still nothing. I personally don't know anyone who's using the UPREV "tuner" so i'm guessing they're all talk for now and only the cipher works for the FX.

If you don't mind, send me a PM if Cobb gets something working for our FX.

Jaime,

Thank you for your interest in COBB Tuning. At this point we have no plans to develop an AccessPORT for the Infiniti FX35. However, if this changes, we will be sure to take you up on your offer.

yeah that sucks.
UPREV on the other hand stopped responding to me when I questioned them about the "Osiris Tuner" actually being ready. I was told it was ready but then I asked them why some have been waiting over a month now and they stopped responding to me after that.
I don't see how they would sell something thats not even ready yet, seems really dishonest and just flat out crooked.

They are still going to try again for me. They have something called a slow boot or whatever, which takes a couple hours. They did say an FX35 has had one on before, they just matched up the ROM's. It's just a matter of getting the correct ROM.

man. FXers are shafted when it come to tuning.. of course if you are not from LA. lol

i being looking for a tuning shop for my FX in VA,MD,DC and nothing to be found... i hope guys from other area have better luck..

You can always go with a piggyback, a tunner that knows what he's doing should be able to tune it for you no problems.

Also a good tuner doesn't need to have any expirience with the FX. A better question to ask would be what engine managment they have most experience with or can they tune a certain piggyback that you have in mind.

I think what you guys need to do is find someone who tunes, 350Zs and G35s, You gotta remember its the same motor, If they can tune that they can tune you as long as they have a AWD dyno(thats if your AWD)

Cobb tunes with the AP so it won't work unless the AP works with your car. It's the same engine, but not the same ECU, so it doesn't work.

Cobb in Utah has already told me they have no plans to make it work with the FX.
Hopefully Stu will have better luck than me.
If UPREV works out for I-Dom-In-8 I will be giving it a try myself.

They sounded optimistic with me though. They wrote my name and number down on a white board and said they'd call me when they know more. Also one guy said "we will make it worth your while", so I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Tell them you know someone else who's waiting for something to work so he can buy it.
Maybe we can do a group buy of 2
heh
Well I don't even know if I'm going to get an AP or a tune, but I want to see if it works. I told them our options were limited and others might be interested. This is mostly just so that other people can possibly have the option of using the AP.
