Car hesitates and jerks from a complete stop!!

Someone please help me. My FX is acting weird. When I'm sitting at a stop light and I accelerate all of a sudden the car takes a little bit more gas to accelerate and there is like a slight jerk or hesitation. It never use to do this before. If I'm slowing down or speeding up it doesn't do it. But if I'm completely stopped and then accelerate it then does it.It feels like the car hesitates for half a second then decides to go as if the throttle doesn't transition smoothly.Any ideas?? Do to think it has something to do with being at the bodyshop for a long time not being driven and the battery was like disconnected for 2 weeks???This isn't in my head either. The cars acceleration feels messed up or something.

You got the extended warranty why not just have the dealer figure it out especially if its doing it all the time?

Fixed!!

Stopped by the dealer real quick and the mechanic felt what I was talking about. They did the throttle valve position relearn and accelerator position relearn on the computer along with an ECM reset and the problem went away! They said the throttle was out of sync or something maybe from the electronics being discharge for a long time. The computers in this car is very sensitive to anything.

Whoa i think i have the same problem too. Somtimes going to a complete stop pretty quickly i see the revs shift down and then when i try to accelerate soon after theres a bit of a lag, the revs go up and i can hear the engine working a little bit but theres no wheel movement and when it finally does go the car jerks. It happens to me very randomly. Is waranty over on the 2010 for them to update the ecm and check all that stuff out if not would they charge to do something like that, if so how much would u guys think? I dont have extended warranty or anything. Also saw ur other posting about this to and about the harsh downshifting to a stop are u guys explaining like when you go to a complete stop in sports shift you shift down 3>2 and its in high revs and shift down to 1 it kinda jerk stops? I tried my best braking until the revs were low around 2,000 shift to second keep braking to 2,000 revs and when i get to the point i actually need to stop and shift to first there's a jerk?

The first part u describe I believe could be resolved with a throttle body cleaning - by hand not by machine. But this is just a guess.

Yeah bro your issue sounds like a dirty throttle body. I would try doing a cleaning first.

then I would take it in to the dealer for the transmission update tsb. Warranty will cover it.

Hey Everyone!!
I just got a 2010 FX50S 3 weeks ago! Love it! I have been hovering this site ever since. I have the same problem yall are describing, lagging and hesitation when going under 45mph some days are worse than others. I'm still under warranty and I took it to the local Infiniti shop to see if there was a TSB update or something to fix the problem and they told me there in none for the FX50 only for the FX35 (TSB Update). They said the 7 speed tranny is harsh and its to be expected and basically live with it until they do an update or address the problem.. Has anyone done a throttle body cleaning?

Thanks
Mark (Texas)

Just want to let everyone know this issue I was having wasn't transmission related.

Something involving the throttle and accelerator programming got screwed up when the battery was disconnected for a long time.

If your having transmission lag issues and harsh shifting refer to the tsb I posted in another thread. There is an update out.

I have a 2010 fx35 AWD. While in Drive mode (not sport) and I brake at any time (for example at a stop sign) I find the transmission sometimes bucking. The vehicle doesn't move but you can feel it reving up or wanting to go (like someone pushed the czar for a sec from behind). Does anyone else experience this? Is it normal? Cause?

Anyone had an issue putting the FX into drive and it lurches forward without giving it any gas? If I didn't have my foot on the brake feels like theFX would take off! Only happens intermittently hope it's not a transmission problem.

hi, i want to share my story .
i was having the same problem with my fx35 09, where it used to hesitate ,then turned off .
i took it to the dealer for over 6 month and every time they kept on resetting the EMC ,or the transmission computer.
well i kept on having problem , but i was took lazy on keep taking it.
till i notice my warranty was almost out. therefore i got mad and i used to go to the dealer every day telling same sht still happening.
they schedule a road test with the mechanic and bum, the mechanic saw the what was happening, so i left the card at the dealer for a week.
they called me telling that they need to call the infiniti so they can send an infiniti engineering bc the problem was still there.
blah blah . they found the problem , and they replaced these parts :"C-13040 - JK28A", "K-13040-JK22B", "23797-EY01A", "23797-JA10B" . luckily i did not have to pay
however by then my warranty was expired .
i just want to know why these parted got fcked up?
by the way , i love the new inifiniti dealer's coffee maker. (customer lounge)

You have to have your foot on the brake otherwise the shifter wont come out of park. My 50S does the same (want to lung forward when putting it into gear) but I believe it is the torque available at Idle RPM's that just creates a hard engagement?

What is your RPM reading at idle in Park or Drive gear?
