Does anybody have experience with the 2007+ Escalades? I've always liked them and am considering a purchase, as the cargo area in the FX isn't cutting it. Not sure if I'd be trading in the FX (hopefully not)... only in the beginning stages of this, so these are only thoughts at this point. I go on trips to the mountains a lot and bring a bunch of luggage/things along with. I also do some interior decorating work, and it gets frustrating leaving behind a table because it won't fit in the FX. The added space would be so nice...
 
It would provide you with the room you need. Then again, your FX serves as a canvas for your creativity and design.

I personally don't like the escalade, played out and see them everywhere, but if you need more space then go for it. The Fx has a timeless design and your fx particularly is sick ;)
 
I have a white loaded escalade 2007. I love it actually. The lighting is beautiful at nighttime and the design of it is amazing. Only other SUV I'd buy than a FX. The quality is very great also. We have about 140,000 on it since we bought it including many long trips and just driving around and the only problem ive had is a wheel bearing and Cadillac was very good about fixing it. I have a loaner SRX at the moment and I don't really like it but I'd say go for it. Tons of room and power. Just don't give up the FX:)
 
I really like Escalades, though they are everywhere in San Diego. I'd want the pearl white, which is mainly what I see everywhere. I wouldn't see the logic in keeping both the FX and Escalade, so I'd probably end up having to choose. I really love my FX so much though, and it'd kill me to sell it... unless somebody on the forum bought it. Then it'd only half kill me. Maybe I will just have to keep renting U-Haul trucks to buy bigger things. I get compliments almost every day on the FX, and I don't feel like the Escalade has that same cool factor.

I was thinking about a truck, but I'm not really a truck person. Plus I want to be able to have everything inside of the car, not exposed to outside elements.
 
You could get a cheaper truck for hauling things, Or throw a tow hitch on and use a trailer. I've thought about picking up a cargo van to store and haul toys to the beach with. That way I can keep bikes and Kayaks in it, and just use on weekends to bring everything to the beach.
 
I rented an Escalade while I was in Socal last year. That thing eats up miles beautifully but I don't know if I could live with it as a daily driver.
 
The carpod holds a ton more than the pic shows. It will hold more than an escalade unless you have a ESV or one with also a carpod lol

It also comes on/off easy with two heavy duty bolts.

We recently sold our cadillac DTS and so glad it's long gone. Rode nice but problems galore in comparison. You spend a good amount of your $$ on mods so if u got the caddy you'll probably have the money for maint and issues but then no mods lol
 
There's a reason why their resale value is so low. Considered a QX56 at all? Just as nice and will give you the room you need. I would have gotten one over the FX but it was actually too big. Lol! :smile (2):
