So I did some research and talked to some guys from a good shop in town who build/install turbos. the sts turbo kit has a universal for all cars BUT two things you WILL need. 1: a way to adjust the timing 2: bigger fuel injectors. well there goes that mod. they dont make bigger fuel injectors for the fx45. just thought i would share this to people who are looking to turbo there 45. :frown::frown::tdown::tdown:

Hold on. There are people who use the VK45 as a race engine. Surely they have larger injectors.

Or is it the VK56?

Never say never!

Because a twin-turbo V-8 demands massive amounts of fuel and air, two Bosch fuel pumps force-feed Top Secret 720cc injectors while a pair of Pulsar throttle bodies brings in the air

Never say never!

Smoky plucked a plus-size 4.5L VK45 V-8 from a Nissan Cima (our Infiniti Q45) to drive his Skyline. But a GT-R, be it from Nissan or Top Secret, just isn't a GT-R without some boost. To this end a matched set of HKS GT2835 turbos was plumbed into the mix. To handle the power, VQ30 rods and pistons were employed in the bottom end. Because a twin-turbo V-8 demands massive amounts of fuel and air, two Bosch fuel pumps force-feed Top Secret 720cc injectors while a pair of Pulsar throttle bodies brings in the air. The star of the air/fuel show is the Top Secret original surge tank intake manifold.

Fixed.

The Japanese race the hell out of 45 but they run individual TB's per cylinder I think.

That explains it, s**t's all top secret.....

Yeah, I just added the part of the quote that says it's a VK45.

These are from their website. The top one is their TT VK45.

I didn't see any info on the injectors...

cant find anything on these injectors, I have looked and looked im sure logan is right they are surely using differant set up when it come to the fuel delivery

injectors are the least of the problems, you can get bigger injectors. problems with the 45 is space & because it's not a popular application, most important problem to overcome is control. 35's are easy because there are plenty of piggyback/add-on/stand alone things to choose from, but 45 there's nothing readily available plug & play to control the additional fuel & timing retard, etc. not to say it can't be done, just not as easy as plug & play

A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G can be done

with enough time and money.

Custom builds are only a commitment away. They are done every day on cars across the world.

The particular mating size of the injectors is not unique - you can adapt just about any major manufacturer's injectors (the proper model line) with seals and a new fuel rail. With the increased demand for fuel, you'd need a new regulator and pump.

Do they have Osiris for the VK? I would think you have to go to a standalone EMS, which is certainly common enough for tuner cars. It's just finding somebody that can set the air/fuel/timing maps up for the first time on your VK. It would be a science project and would take some

time and money.

But it would be much easier than say... swapping in a totally different drivetrain like one member here is currently doing.

Another member has a first gen twin turbo with manual transmission swap.

Just takes ... what I said before. All depends on how bad you want it and what you are willing to do to get it!

Yessir. Uprev all the way, as Brad said "with enough money and time"......honey, I just wiped out the kids GET accounts but the FX is scary fast.

I GIVE UP!!! Im buy a ford,jk....well maybe not lol I will do some more investigation about this tomorrow since i get off work early. I think it would be sweet. you know if there were someone smart enough out there to make a plug and play kit for our cars maybe they could make some cash off of it like slamming and nate. the guys at jtw motorsports said that would be an awsome build. I told him all the mods coming out with the cai,pulley,e-fan, and he said with those mods and that turbo from sts we could see numbers around 440. and said if i were able to find a way to tune the timing and bigger injectors he could do the whole kit for under 5k. he said it would be a real easy set up as there is alot of room under our cars and there wont be alot of fabrication work. lets do it guys. we can put our brains together and get-r-done we 45 ers can build our own kit!!!!!
