Wondering how many of you uses the autolight system. I tend to manually turn on my headlights, but i notice it causes the bulb to rapidly turn on, than off and then on the headlight. This must be bad for the bulbs?
Turning the headlights on and off does shorten the life of the bulbs. If the auto is doing this more often than you would actually manually turn it on, it could be doing more damage.
Either way, I never had issues either manual/auto with my bulbs so I think it's a moot question unless you are having issues (e.g. one headlight turning on vs both -- at start-up you are not getting enough AMPs to ignite the bulbs from the ballasts, most likely due to the draw from all the other electronics trying to start up).
So setting this to the left (lower) allow the lights to come on in a lighter dusk and to the right (higher) come on in a darker dusk setting? I am new to my 06 FX35 and to be honest setting in either position when I come home from work seem the same to me.
Just curious if the majority of you use this Auto setting on the headlights and what setting you use.
