Anyone PlastiDip their M? (Thinking about it)

I've seen a few cars done, but I'm not crazy about it. Why not just get a wrap?

I thought about PlastiDip-ing the chrome bar on the trunk. Probably will tackle it this weekend.

I"m not a fan of Plasi -Dip either....took dull and dirty looking for my taste. I'm a huge fan of black chrome though. That would be cool to have the grill done in black chrome.

I've already ordered my Plasti-dip... I work in Alaska so whenever i get home to Texas in 2 weeks it will be waiting for me.. I'm shooting for a satin black more than matte over the whole car and wheels. Also putting the eibach lowering springs on it. I've searched all over the internet and havent found a matte or a satin black M. Will be posting plenty of pics whenever i'm finished trust me...

Well I got bored and decided to dip my grille, and roof...

Then I peeled it =]...

I will redo it again, the finish didn't come out as well as I wanted the first time.

Any thoughts? I thought about doing the wheels black just to see how it all looks together but I don't want it to look all crazy.

Grill looks good

because your car is white I would get the top wrapped in high gloss black so that it would match the gloss of the sunroof. This always looks good on white cars.

The grille has the matte finish, and plastidip has a glossifier and it builds up shine the more you layer it up. Where can I find this high gloss wrap though?

most get it at ebay (cheaper) or a local vinyl shop

some car shops have it instock and even apply it for you as you wait

do a search in your area for roof vinyl wrap.

No, unfortunately I didn't. I got the matte black gallons in but not the glossifier to mix in the last coats for satin. It's STILL on back order! Thinking about just going ahead and doing matte black whenever I get home this time and just canceling the order of gloss. Tired of waiting. Plus whenever I get home I MAY be getting some staggered 20's. Which will make a world of difference. I really dont like dropped vehicles with paint jobs on stocks.. Also Im wondering what I can sell my stocks with tires (about 60% tread) for.. 2 of the wheels have a pretty good amount of rash on them from previous owner.

I don't know why, but I'm really liking the look of the matte black. I don't think I'd use it myself, but it looks clean. What wheels are you looking to get?

I think it looks good, how long did it take you from start to finish?

Everyone that you know will think you got another M.

But IMO the white looks so much better.
