So I'm wrapping the wood paneling and the radio dash area with carbon fiber vinyl. I'm having a helluva time getting it to fit around all the buttons and knobs which leads me to believe that I'm going to have to remove the dash cover and center console if this is going to turn out right.

Anyone here familiar with what I'm talking about? I have a full set of trim pullers, but I have no idea where to start. I feel like I'm going to break something when I'm trying to loosen up the shifter.

Nice that carbon fiber will look sick. That's the one thing I hated about the fx was that wood grain, luckily my LE came with piano black wood.

So pimp...

Wood trim door panels and radio dash are getting done tomorrow.

What's hilarious is I woke up, hopped on IS, read his response, and walked right out and pulled the console and wrapped it. Thank god I bought extra vinyl because getting it to sit right was a royal PITA. Turned out perfect!

Yeah the wood grain is standard on the QX 5.0. Same with the chrome trim. The 3.7 Sport has the option for gunmetal trim which is way sportier IMO.

Thanks! Kinda learning as I go!

Stumped on on how to remove the navigation dash with out ripping out the entire display. Dont know, maybe that's what's required.

Figured it out. Yep, gotta yank the display.

I don't have enough vinyl leftover to finish the doors. This was a learning process and I ended up using more than I anticipated. I think I have enough for the two fronts but not all four.

If this was a learning process for you, I think you have now mastered it. It looks very, very good. Well done.
