Aftermarket radio install project underway.

Just started to install a double din avh4500dvd pioneer radio in the fx. Took apart the dash.

Where the clock is, is where the factory screen is going to be. The 06 color screen.

Going to post more pics in a bit. Dremeling the bezel to exactly 7.5 inches wide and a little over 4 inches high. Allot of dremeling i mean allot.
This radio install is makin me a bit nervous. But hey you gotta learn.

Dremmeling major parts freaks me out, but once you sketch out the plan and start cutting you have to just push through...looking forward to seeing the end product!

Almost done! Yessss! Still nervous till im done. Ill take apart a motor, brakes, suspension and all that. But electrical makes me nervous. Here is the radio in.

As for the color 06 screen. It will be here. Gotta dremel more. As for the cig lighter port and fake ashtray, took it out and gona relocate the cig port near the shifter.

looks good nothing scary in electrical as long as you follow the principals and know how it works. but it look like you have this handled.

Dang! Awesome work. And I feel you with wires. I have taken most of my engine apart on my e36 and have put new Seals and gaskets and all of that stuff. And have done brakes. But I absolutely hate wires. I just did a stereo in my car and I was scared shitless to cut or splice a wrong wire. Lol
