Spent some time this past Sunday (February 8,2009) to install my Absolute speakers and amp.

First of all I wanted to thank Andrew (Toy4X) in helping me with the Install. Without his help I would not have someone to call me an idiot and remind me what a positive and negative wire looks like.. All kidding aside it was great to have him over to help.

The speakers and amp are made by Absolute. These 2 12 inch subwoofer speakers peak at a 1000 wats and they are freaking loud......

Here are some pics of the final install.... Now you can not only feel me coming up the block but you can also hear me.....

Nice box man. Cant wait to hear it.
But you cant conceal it with the rear cover.

Also, how is it strapped down?

Box was too big to be able to be concealed with a cover. Approx 27"w 14"h 15"d

Were we supposed to strap it down? we figured with the wires being so tight it should hold it in place....hmmm

Humberto, I like how you armor-all'ed your rear mat..looks real shiney! and these things impressed me..they hit pretty good. But you still seem to be missing a piece...hmm I wonder if anyone can find it....look real hard....oops we'll put it on later.

I wouldn't consider this finished..as it is not upto my standards. I absolutely HATE seeing wires, love a clean look. We started and finished real late. We also ran into some problems with some bolts around the battery.:laugh: (funniest thing I have seen in a long time!!)

When I get my hand back...we'll do it up real nice...always an adventure with Bert!!

I'd really be concerned with that. You guys live pretty close to the element. Dont bump when you're close to home.
Strap that baby! Armor all aint gonna help ya know, & ya down want the wires to shred when they pull on the terminals, right?
 
Nice Bert.....now you gotta lug that thing out to get to the jack - and we all know how often those come out - lol.

Cant wait to hear it!
Throw some DJ Magic Mike in there,

NO Armor-All used...

It's the same as when I got the FX.... Just wipe it down with a damp cloth and dry.

Like Andrew said... it's just a temporary install...

If I like it I am planing to recess the speakers and the amp where the Spare is...

Only time will tell.. I have 2 other major mods that are in the works.....

Dee my childish set up can not compare to your set up borther...:eek::embarrassed::rolleyes:

But It is a bit too strog... now I will have to upgrade the other speakers.... dunno if i want to go down that road... $$$4$$$$:err:
