Hey everyone,

So I'm on the hunt for a replacement center console for my 07 FX35 Sport. I bought the car used and the console piece around the shift stack as well as around the clock are a little beat up. I've looked around and haven't seen the sport version available at any of the usual spots. Wondering if anyone else has gone through the same search.

Tried weber and didn't see anything, just tried car-parts and no luck there either. Worst case I'll go to the dealer, but thought I'd try to save some money before going that route.

Thanks guys, I looked at infinitipartsusa, but haven't called them yet. I'll drop Rick a PM.

Yeah, I know replacements are going to be expensive. Depending on finances, that may be the way I go.

Depending on how deep the scratches are and if there are any small dents etc etc, you could try to do a little sanding with the grains of the aluminum and then apply some clear coat over it. I actually have down it, before I covered it with CF, with steady motion I got it all out and it looked good. The only problem was that I had two dents, like from the keys or something, that would still be visible. If you can post pic(s) we can get a better idea.

Kind of stinks for you because since you have the sport console, it has that textured finish. My console has the rosewood and smooth aluminum and it has some wear on it too. I plan on brushing it with steel wool in the next few weeks and I have a mod planned to reconfigure the hazard button and driver heater buttons too.Wrapping is definitely the most cost effective way though!

Yeah, unfortunately it's not just a smooth finish, so sanding is out of the equation. I can take a picture this afternoon, but it's got a textured pattern to it. I can live with it for now, it's just something that I notice every time I look at it. Might have to look at wrapping and see what kind of look I can go for...

i have the sport part that goes around the shifter, the cup holder, basically the lower part. i dont have the clock one. i replaced mine last year with a dealer new one which cost about 700 bucks. it has very minor wear, one small scratch. i replaced because i have ocd and the FX was new to me so i wanted it to look as new as possible, you will have to remove the shifter slide as i damaged it, you can use the one out of yours to put in this one. . takes about 5 mins.i also replaced the leather on my seats. ill give you a deal.

I have the sports interior, those are like goose bumps. In your case, I wrap it and forget it :smile (2):.

Justin, I think the only way you'll be happy and satisfied with the outcome is to purchase new directly. I would not go straight to the dealer though. Many of us has bought from infinitipartsusa.com and are happy with their service. I bought everything from them, chrome rear quarter glass, lower rocker moldings, trim pieces, etc. Online is the best way to go, thats for sure or PM Rick like Zebra said.
