The existing Aftermarket Wheels Gallery is mosly for 1st Gen, has anyone thought about starting a gallery specific to 2nd Gen FX's (35 and 50)? It would be nice to have a dedicated thread with only photos of aftermarket wheels on the 2nd gen FX's.

I know this would be a huge help not only to me as I try to decide on wheels for my car, but I'd imagine it would be helpful to other 2nd gen owners as well.

Anyone care to start by posting pics of their 2nd gen ride and wheels?

Do photoshops count?

Sure, Photoshop images would count. I created the thread with the intention of having a thread specific to the 2nd gen FX, so people who are shopping for rims can get an idea of what others have on their cars, as well as potentially to see what the rims they may be interested in look like, all specific to the 2nd gen FX. It's hard to visualize what a rim will look like on a 2nd gen FX, regardless of how it may look on the 1st gen.

As my car is 100% stock at the moment I can't be of much help quite yet, but I was hoping others would be willing to post photos of their ride's setup, to help others with shopping for and deciding on what rims to get. Of course it is also an opportunity for people to showcase to other members what their ride looks like :)

Found them through circle infiniti of west long branch, nj. They have an e-bay store selling genuine infiniti parts. They had some shipping issues w/ FED-ex as they were getting their wheels from Dallas, Tx, but they worked hard to quickly rectify the issue, great customer service. The yokohamas were a bitch to get too, but I have a patient who runs a tire shop who managed to get them ordered and in within a week for me.

That looks very nice, how do you like the slightly oversized tires? I was thinking of doing the same thing instead of lowering, and was curious if there is any noticable difference in the ride (i.e. is it softer) between those and the stock 20" tires?

^^ I had the 18's on prior to these wheels, so not sure about a comparo with 265/50/20 on a 2010, but my old fx (06) had the sport suspension and 20's with 265/50/20 yokohamas, and I think my '10 handles better. I don't see a loss in handling with the 285/50/20

Wow those looks really nice. I've always though that the new 20" M wheels should look great on the FX, and they do!

Do you have any photos taken from the front or rear? It would be nice to see how flush the front and rear wheels are.

I'm trying to figure out right now what size wheel I want to get, right now I have the OEM 20's and was debating whether I should up and get 22's, or if instead I wanted to get a different set of 20's. The wheels on your car look nice, especially with the slightly oversized tires, and has made me rethink whether I'd really need to do 22's. Not only for the more rigid ride and risk of potholes (I'm in MN and the roads can be trashed after winter) etc, but also due to the extra cost.

Did you give any thought to other sizes, or did you already know you wanted 20's?

I was discouraged by alot of the aftermarket wheel choices our there, wanting to be different but not stray too far from the sleek Infiniti stock look. I was interested in the fx50's 21x9.5 wheels but was disatisfied with only 2 tire options. The 20x9 gave me more options including the yokohamas which I'm quite fond of. 22+ just seemed too impractical as I live in PA and this fx is my daily driver.

Thanks, I'll get a few more pics up as soon as this crappy spring weather clears, it's been ugly around here but I'm hoping by this weekend. To me there is appropriate wheel-well gap for a sporty suv, i want to maintain some height vs say my roush mustang with a 1.5" drop and 20" wheels.

Say, I was curious what the offsets are on those wheels, and how your mounted setup sits? Is it flush with the fenders, does it stick out at all, or is it tucked under slightly?

I'm shopping for rims too and this information would really help me to guage what will fit properly on my car so it rides the way I want it to.

Also, any other pics you have of your setup would be greatly appreciated as well.

Thanks!
