I am looking to purchase a set of wheels that are 20x10 with a 45mm off set and putting them on a 08 fx35. My question is which tires would be the best fit? Also any recommendations on what brand and where to buy would be appreciated. I want it to sit up a bit without rubbing but also have an aggressive look as well., I am fully stock as far a suspension. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Most would go with 285s. There are a lot of threads about this in the suspension /wheels forum.

Thanks and i will wait, hopefully someone will chime in here soon as i am getting anxious to get everything ordered and installed. Also correct me if I'm wrong but I already have the pressure sensors in my stock 18's and they already work, so all I have to do is have them swapped out to the 20's without reprogramming. Right?

None of the tire places have the 285/45/20 but they all have the 285/50/20

20x10 wheels can easily fit 285/50R20 tires. Many on the forum runs Yokohama Parada Spec-X and Hankook Ventus ST RH06 tires.

As for aggressive stance with your new 20" wheel, 25 mm wheel spacer would work without any problem with stock suspension. There two popular brand wheel spacers many of us run with; they're H&R Trak+ and Ichiba. There are two type for each brand too.

H&R Trak+/Ichiba
DRM/Version II - Wheel studs already pressed in
DRS/Version I - Extended wheel studs.

If you decided to go with anything less then 25mm in the DRM/Version II, you have to make sure the back of your wheel is NOT solid since the OEM stud will protrude pass any 20mm or less spacer. Take a look at this like for more info http://www.ichibausa.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=WS-5511467A

Check out this thread on installing DRS/Version I wheel spacers, https://www.infinitiscene.com/search/1/?q=91-Wheel-Spacer-Install

The wheels already have 45mm spacers with them, if I run the 285/50/20's will the rub or stick out too far? Also what about the tire sensors, can I just take them out of the stock 18's and install them in the 20's?

The wheels come with a 45 mm spacer or the offset is 45mm? If both, then you will poke and will rub if you lower your car.

Im really not sure I bought these off Sebany79 and there is a HUGE language barrier. Really nice guy tough and I got a smokin deal. Im really stupid in regards to tires and wheels and what the sizes really mean. But his ad is as follows and states 45mm offset, but he said it also included spacers as well as tire pressure sensors. I would rather taller tires than the low profile ones as they are going on an AWD and feel I would rather the higher look. Again, any help would be appreciated

Avarus AV120x10 Machined Glossy Black w/stainless Lip +45mm offset-79.1mm HubBore FULL HARDWARE KIT .Lugnut size :12x1.25 .5x11/5x114.3.

OK, sounded like +45 is the offset of the wheel itself. You said it comes with spacers. Are they loose or are they attached to the wheel? Can you take pictures of what you have? Also from the spec above, the hub bore is 79.1mm, you will also need hub centric ring to go from 79.1mm to 66.1mm so that your wheel will be centered on the hub. If you not going to use the 18 anymore, you can unmount the tire and take the tire pressure sensor from it to install into your 20s, but the cost of unmount and remount the tire back on your 18s will probably comes out just a little under in cost of getting a new set for your 20s. If you buy a new set, you will have to get them programmed by the dealer so that your car recognize the new tire pressure sensor. Good luck!

I just got off the phone with him and from what I can understand, they are 45mm offset and has a new set of sensors and from what I can tell has the hub centric ring too. He said they include all hardware and are ready to be installed. I haven't received them yet he just shipped them today. I am still up in the aor on which tires. between 275/50/20 and 285/50/20 probably going with the 285's as i think they are a hair taller, correct?

Goto here: http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp and use their tire calculator; select your current 18s treadwith, profile and wheel diameter and select other size combination of treadwidth, profile and wheel size to see yourself on the overall diameter of the tire & wheel combination since you're concern with height of the vehicle.

I just talked to him and yes they do include the hub centric rings and the air sensor's. Also I think that after looking at the chart I'm going with the Hankook RH06 285/50/20. $676.00 to my door, unless you guys know where to get them cheaper. If so, please chime in! Thanks for everyone's help it is much appreciated!

I most definitely will, I have done a few other things since I have bought it and have been waiting to I get it completed before posting pics. Nothing that hasn't already been in the diy section so no need in taking pics along the way. It will probably be around xmas before I get everything wrapped up and installed, will post then. And, thanks to all of you for your help!

Another reason it will be a few weeks is because I'm a little gun shy to pull the trigger on the tires yet. The reason being, what I paid for the wheels, hubs, sensors and shipping. I'm not going to post the amount, but lets just say I got a REALLY good deal and I haven't received them yet. Sebany sounds like a really nice guy and I think he is on the up and up. But as the old saying goes. If its too good to be true! I probably isn't! I don't know, we will see! I will keep you posted.

I have Avarus 20's on my 09FX with hankook 295/45-20's on them ,45 offset without spacers-NO clearance problems on the 2nd generation. Go to my pictures to check them out. Good Luck

Thanks, looks good. I think the 09's do sit a tad higher, i am not sure but when shopping for my fx they seemed to. Maybe just my imagination, anyway I went with the 285/50/20's so we will see. Nice looking ride you have there, and once again thanks for the info.....

UPDATE! I finally received the wheels, 1 yesterday and the other 3 today. All is good with the following exceptions: there were no hub centric rings and or tps's therefore I had to buy the rings on eBay and have them shipped 2 day and they may not go out today as for he had to make them. Had I known before I could have already had them, as far as the sensors, I guess I will use my old ones but will require breaking down the old tires and rims and having them remounted and balanced. One other thing, the wheels were advertised as brand new but something is funny about them. First one of them had a valve stem already installed but still came with 4 valve stems? I can tell they have never had tires mounted, but who knows they may have been on display or old stock or something.Second thing is someone made a FAILED attempt to polish the wheels FYI ( polish is really only used when there is corrosion and such, therefore needing a polish with abrasives to remove the unwanted corrosion) otherwise, Mothers carnuba wax is all they need unless they are aluminum. So needless to say I spent about 4 hours of polishing and getting the old polish out of all the cracks and crevices and they look brand new now. All in all, I'm 100% happy with the purchase as for I only paid 500.00 shipped to my door, shipping alone was $266.00 so I pretty much stole them, Sebany is a really nice guy and I do not think he miss led me intentionally, but there is a HUGE language barrier that could not be overcome. I know he has some other things for sale, like a cai and if any of you are interested. No worries, he's a straight up dude just be aware of the language barrier and ask as many questions as possible. I will post pics later and again when I get them installed, hopefully Thursday or Friday, the tires will be here tomorrow and then I'm only waiting for the hub centric rings. Thanks again for everyone's help with the choice of tires and such!
