2010 Millionaire Edition Announced for Europe

Kudos to Infiniti. With seemingly every special edition model being blinged-up and chrome frosted inside and out, you'd figure something called the Millionaire Edition would be the most ostentatious thing on four wheels. But Nissan's luxury division has taken an entirely more understated approach with the 2010 Infiniti FX Millionaire Edition.

Instead of chrome or gold plating, the FX Millionaire gets dark graphite trim on the exterior, including the grille, air dam, 21-inch wheels and roof rails – as well as the window surrounds, from the look of it – complementing the Obsidian Black or White Moonlight paint schemes. Inside, it's all Alcantara micro-suede with brown stitching offset by carbon fiber, plus all the advanced features from the catalog, including sat-nav, Infiniti's excellent Around View Monitor system and Bose audio.

The package is available on either the FX37 or FX50, but only in Europe, with no more than 100 examples to be built. Equipped with the 390-horsepower, 5.0-liter V8, the FX50 Millionaire Edition sells in the price-inflated UK market for a princely €95,450 – about $144k in 'merican greenbacks, or more than twice the base price for us non-millionaires. On second thought, maybe we'll save those kudos for another time. The FX Millionaire Edition is being unveiled next week, appropriately enough, at Amsterdam's Millionaire Fair.

I like the Stormtrooper look though. They should have blacked out the headlight rings too.

What a waste of money!!

144k for an special edition FX.

all you have to do is buy stock and spend all the left over money on custom mods.

Imagine stuff that you can do if you have 100K budget for modding.

And then you relay have one of the kind FX not just a Special Edition.

+1 ^^

i just wish BMW would put a 6 speed manual in the new X ///M series. That would sell me

Really like to see the interior and how they handled the Alcantra and CF bits. I find it hard to believe that they didn't do some kind of body kit on it, at least on the front end.... Not a worthwhile marketing statement to make to the FX enthusiast world.

^^ I was going to say too all that and not even the aero kit on their? where is the picture of the interior? I like the vent and the roof but i can take care of that myself, and whats different on the grill? cant tell

Ok-SO maybe if they throw in the chick with the pot scrubber in her hair.....Still want to see the interior though.

Its not bad....but WAY overpriced for $144k, it should come with a widebody, Blacked out stock 21's with a big lip...instead of those horrible turbine looking things. Lowered, wider wheels and tires.

Cant imagine spending this kind of cash for this. For a lot less, you can have your ride look like Humberto's, or actually you can buy Viet's whole ride for that type of cash.

Wow where are you getting this pricing figure? This thing's $144k, which is actually $63,000 more than the non-millionaire version.

$63,000 is still a ton to pay for a "limited edition" with specially painted trim/wheels. Like others have said, if it came with a wide-body and a special paint color not available on the non-millionaire edition then you can start hacking away at the gross "overprice."

As it stands I see it as about $48,000 over-priced. $15,000 is reasonable for having a 1 of 100 with special trim options. It's not saying much though when you have 1/100 of an FX... it's not a legendary car like the GTR or Supra or NSX (not mentioning American or European exotics, apples to oranges).

You guys have any opinions on that? 1/100 of an FX vice 1/100 of a GTR? I'd say there's easily an incredible difference in markup they can get away with. I bet if you guys saw this same exact packaging on a GTR for $63k more you'd be like ehhh... nice but too rich for my blood.

Lips are becoming a thing of the past FYI :embarrassed:
