2009 FX Moldings Painted !!

Well, after picking up my 09 FX35 last week, I just had to get the bottom moldings painted to match the body color. I simply could not look at the car anymore without seeing all the black moldings painted to give the car a unified color - lesser priced cross-overs had matching moldings and I just can't believe Infiniti missed this. I researched what a few folks on this forum did and then Turbocad's insight on what to do and how much it should cost - I found a autobody shop near my place that initially quoted me $2K, but I brought it down to $1,700 which I think is a decent deal. Pic's below of my car before and after the paint work. Now I like !!

looks good, would have left the plastic around the foglights (the triangle shape vent things) black...but it all looks good.

Hey Turbocad

I really did not like the stock FX35 rims, so I started to search various forums until I came across a guy in Atlanta willing to part with the wheels. He was asking alot but I managed to negotiate to a reasonable $. Then came the headache of finding 21 inch tires....not alot of choices out there! I finally like the look now...and thanks for the insight on what to ask these body shops to do (I saw it on another response you gave to someone who painted their moldings on a 1st gen). It helped alot!
