Hey everyone I realize there are many threads about this that and the other but in attempts to save a little time can you please give me your advice, especially the ones who have done any performance upgrades...

I want to know if there is and if so what chip to buy to give me more hp and fuel economy. I am not concerned with how much it is I just want a reliable and relatively safe one... Also any other suggestions, oh yea btw its a 03 fx35 rwd...

Thanks in advance
Tyler

Best one in my opinion that is "off-the-shelf":

I'm pretty sure I have read in the past about a company that I can take my computer out or something send it to them and they will tune it or do stuff to it in order to give me more power quicker throttle response..... I could be wrong tho

I just posted the link above. Give them a call, they know their stuff.

here's advice, coming from somebody who has realized how much time and money has been wasted for nothing...

if you want real power, save up for forced induction (turbo, sc, etc.)
If you want just a little more pep in the step, go for intake, plenum spacer, and an exhaust, and send your ECU to Technosquare for tuning. thats it.

+1 Coming from somebody who has spent as much on mods as the purchase price of the FX.

Any comparisons between UpRev and TechnoSquare?

TechnoSquare is off the shelf reflash.

I'm not sure if UpRev offers that. UpRev is typically used to go to a dyno tuner and custom tuned and mapped for your car.

UpRev is better IF you have a tuner near you and the tuner is knowledgable about Nissan ECUs.

All else, you can't go wrong with TechnoSquare.

How much is a basic Technosquare reflash?

This looks like a good option as I already have an intake/exhaust/plenum spacer and don't plan to go FI...

I sent them some Emails but they did not reply.
We might have to call them, I guess..

I just call they quoted $550.00 + shipping. But the guy doing programming is out of country, he is not coming back till next month ..........

Wow, $550 for reflash. I'm pretty much done all the bolt on mods for engine performance (intake, plenum, exhaust). I'm waiting for the UR underdrive pulley set. So I my next engine mods will be the ECU reflash. For those that have this done. Does it really worth the money?

Without a reflash or custom tune, it is possible you lost horsepower and torque. There are limits to what the ECU can accommodate for.

So yes, I personally would say it's worth it.

+1 - best mod for performance there is. After the reflash it's like a new FX.

the $550 from technosquare isnt just a reflash...they alter your map according to what modifications you have.

 Thanks guys. Will be my next mods once I have the UR pulley set installed.
