Looking great Patrick! Did you wrap over the carbon fiber hood?

Sent from my iPhone

Thanks! Yes I wrapped over the hood and louvers. The exposed carbon fiber looked ok good but didn't quite match with where I wanted to take it aesthetically. So I wrapped it up. The louvers (and side vents) are wrapped gloss black.

Nice! did you remove the door handles to wrap the door? I thought about wrapping the car too but the tailgate seems very tricky especially around the 3rd brake light and window area. Do you have a picture of that and how hard was that part?

I removed everything. And I mean everything. Every piece of trim, every light (not the rear third brake light as it creates too much tension), and every door handle. Don't even get me started on how much of a PIA the front door handles were to remove and reinstall.

If you want to simplify installation on the front and rear bumpers, my advice would be to invest in a wheeled IR lamp. What a godsend that thing was. The nice wide even heating allowed me to maintain positive control over the vinyl without having to stop and use a heat gun, which would've been extremely inefficient. Heat guns are great for small areas like door recesses and post heating. It for large curved surfaces, the IR lamp cannot be beat.

Can't say I would have done the stripe in the grille and the white stripes. Looks a bit boy racer-ish, which in my opinion is out of place on a luxury SUV. But hey, I'm sure there is plenty on my car which others think is out of place.

But it does look incredible, I like the rail-less look, and how well the wheels and everything tie into the colour. Mad props for the DIY wrap job as well, takes a heck of a lot of patience.
