2013 FX50S
Hey everyone!
I recently upgraded to an fx50 and would like to remove the roof racks. I removed the rails from my previous Fx45 and was able to order caps to fill the holes in the roof from Infiniti. I've searched the forums for info on these caps for the 50 but have only found a link to an eBay seller in Russia. (with an expired listing) Does Infiniti make this part for the fx50? If so what is the part number or where could I order it. I'd greatly appreciate any info. Thanks for your help!

I don't think there is a part for the 2nd gen. I've searched before too and I believe only the sellers from Russia was able to custom fabricate one

I'd be happy to order then from the Russians but when I follow the link to eBay the listing shows up as expired, with a link to the new listing, when I click through it just loads an error page...

you can order from their site directly FYI I have done such in the past with fender flares (though they were made to fit with their custom bumpers and therefore didnt line up right)

I ordered a set of the Russian covers from ebay. They should be here any time now. I'll post photos once they're installed.

Edit: They'll be delivered today.

Vettel Edition has it OEM, you would need to order it directly from CRD Germany.

I ordered the carbon fiber ones and the longer ones which need to be painted to match the car I'll decide which to use once I see them.

On my fx45 my mechanic used some sort of waterproof plastic in a caulking tube to fill the holes in the roof before putting the covers on. This does make it more difficult if you ever want to put the roof racks back on but I'd rather have the peace of mind my new ride won't flood!

That's one way to do it, sure. Or you can put bolts in wrapped with a thin layer of thread seal tape and then put double-sided tape in the covers and forget about it.

I like the bolts with thread seal tape idea, seems cleaner, I'll talk to the body shop about it. Thanks for the input!
