The main reason I am starting this is just in case I get BSed by Forgestar or something like that. I ordered my wheels in piano (gloss) black 22x10.5 +32 on the 21st of may through Need4Speed Motorsports (btw so far good service/ very low price) Of course I have heard horror stories about Iforged and Forgestar with the wait time and powder coating on their wheels. I will constantly update this thread as i get updates from my rep. The only update I got so far was that the wheels will be ready by the first week of July. Another reason is that I kind of need some feedback on some tires. I narrowed my search to these tires. Nexen Roadian HPs in a 285/35/22 size. And also the nitto nt555. (not nt420) in the same size 285/35. I really want to stay on budget with tires and the Nexens are 170 each and the nittos are about 190 each. Let me know if you have any other suggestions. and let me hear your stories about IForged/Forgestar. All I can say right now is that I can't wait until the wheels come in.

No stories from me on Forgestar but the Nexxen Roadian Hp 22/35/285 are sweet tires. I have them and couldn't be happier. They have a nice side wall too. They also have great tread wear. I definitely recommend them

Can't recommend either tire as I have not used them but I would get the paradas, best tire I have bought so far.

yea i was thinking about those but theyre out of my budget. i already blew up my wallet with wheels anyways lol.

Whatd those wheels run you if you dont mind me asking. I know theres alot of great deals out there but im just too darn picky with the design!!

Had NT555 a while back when I still had my G35. They're OK, but a tad noisy and surprisingly, soft. (You'd figure soft tires aren't supposed to be noisy).

As far as 22" tires go, love my Yokohama Parada Spec-X. Very comfy and quiet compared to the NT420 I had (URG).

Forget both of these tires bro, save a little more and get the paradas. You will thank yourself later. Every single member who has them has said nothing but good things, nothing negative.

Well the Nexxens are the lowest profile tires i have ever had. To me they are great and the Paradas were atleast $500 more which was out of my budget. How can you tell if the sidewall is too soft? To me they handle great

i have nexens roadians on 18's. i must say great tires for summer dry and wet use. Winter sucked. currently have 50,000 miles on them but they are turning hard and will replace soon.

yea I might go with the yokohamas but i did spend more than i expected on wheels so i wanna keep the cost of tires as low as possible

I've heard many great reviews on the nexens and i am leaning towards them. but we'll see what happens

you see in california no one has really heard of what snow and winter is.

Had the nexan on my rx8. Way too soft of a sidewall, can't imagine it being better on a heavier suv. Never tried the NT555 but heard some good things.
soft sidewalls don't bother me. i ran hankook rs3s on my e90 and they had pretty soft sidewalls. they didn't really affect handling and i really wasn't bothered. i won't imagine it being too bad on the FX because it has a much thicker sidewall.

so far i think I'm going to go with the nexens.

i just wanted to add a random poll to this thread to see what your favorite tire company in general is. I'm just curious:)

I was in the same boat as you and my wheel dealer suggested the Nexens. He told me they last longer than the Parada's. I preferred the thread pattern on the Nexens. The only tire i was going to get over the Nexens was Falkens but the ones i wanted were discontinued. Like i mentioned, my friend has Parada's and he was impressed with the Nexens. For the price i don't think you can do better. May not be better than the Parada's but still great. I have dedicated winters so i wasn't worried about how they are in snow
