I looked all over trying find out if these would clear the S brakes, even forgestar wasn't sure when I called.

I found a good deal and took the risk..

Got my vote on these wheels 

PMG, the pics in your profile really helped me choose the wheel. Thanks for that!!

I'm still debating between 265/40 22 and 285/40 22 (~0.5" increase in diameter). No plans on lowering. Can anyone direct me to pics of an 09+ FX on 285/40 22s ?

PMG, do you think the extra width on the 285 tire would bulge out too much from the front fendor? Yours looks perfect up front, 285 may be too much.

I know 285/40 22 is specced only down to a 9.5" wheel, but I've heard it should not be a big deal putting it on a 9".

Once I get everything on I will update with pics, but I'm traveling to Netherlands, China and Philippines in June; so I'm waiting until July to order tires.

285 is going to be very "bulgy" on a 9" wheel depending on the brand. I ran 265's on a 9" wheel for a while and even those bulged too much for me.

It will bulge a bit, but as it is now I have zero curb protection. My next set will be 285

Are you planning on 285/40? Or 285/35 ?

Seems most people on here go with 285/35, but I'm thinking I would prefer the extra sidewall (especially not being lowered)

still debating tires.

265/40 (stock diameter) or 285/40 (0.5" larger diameter)

I really want the 285 for the fat tire look and extra wheel protection, just not sure if it would rub or look too big. It's going to raise the height of the car by 1/4 inch. But with no plans on lowering, I don't want to go to the 285/35 which it seems most people go for.

Anyone have any experience or have any pics of a 285/40 22 tire on our cars? Thanks!!

UPDATE =)
