I was looking into the morimoto 6000k 3Five Bulb and i was looking at the specifications carefully and i noticed where it said

COMPATIBILITY

  • HeadlightsD2S Only; Not for use with OEM Nissan/Infiniti ballasts (Matsushita)

And now I'm wondering if i can use it with the OEM Ballasts because I read somewhere on IS and people said you can use the HID with our OEM Ballasts. Just want to be sure so i can buy them and not have issues.

you can use them on oe ballasts ive been using mine since 2010. But i guess back then morimoto quality was top notch.

I had an issue with a burnt bulb before. You can search to read my posts. Here's the deal, while many of us use them there are some who they won't work for. Apparently our ballasts are finicky. I use them but when a bulb blew under warranty the didn't want to replace it saying they don't recommend them for our ballasts. So you can buy them and hope you have no issues but if they don't work they might give you a hard time to get a refund or a new set

I just bought the xb35 morimotos in 6k for my 2006. Should have them installed by Monday Tuesday. I'll let you know how they turn out.

i used an aftermarket ballast for couple of months on the passenger side when my oe ballast blew, the drivers side was still oe. Anyways, i ran 6k morimotos and the aftermarket ballast made the morimotos appear much bluer and cheaper compared to stock ballast driver side which came out to look so much richer and gave a high end look, almost like stock bmw and mercedes lights.

So should i buy the Morimoto HID's or Stay Stock???

It's all personal opinion but I would go with the morimoto 6000k or Garax the link that Andy posted which I am currently running with no problems just like he is as well.

So it's going to work no matter which one I buy right. It's not like I'm going to buy it and it dosent light up, correct?
