NEW Bodykit F-51 for Infiniti FX 2 Gen.

So what does everyone think about this body kit? I've seen many others which look like rubbish, yet this seems to really compliment the car.

"The body kit consists of 6 parts
- front bumper
- rear bumper
- grille
- net and DRL
- lining on the doors and arches
- sills

"The first kit was installed and functional and it went into production it will be ready in 3-5 weeks that is why we are doing pre orders now and then the prices will rise. "

I'll wait until i see some real cars with the body-kit, but so far i like what i see. But it needs to be Black Black Black! :rotfl:

We've seen kits that look one way in graphic renderings, other way on the promo car used for sales, then then other ways when the buyers actually try to mount them up. I'm skeptical to say the least. How come the parts list doesn't say anything about "hood"?
On a positive side, the pictures are kind of cool. But, I prefer smooth curves over these jagged edges though.
 
Yeah I know, but i'm hopeful. Every body kit I've seen thus far is rubbish, expensive rubbish. This is the best I've seen. Time will tell, if it does look this good i'll certainly be looking into it.

Looks awesome, the design truly does compliment the cars existing curves don't you think? To me it looks like it belongs there, versus other kits that clearly look alien on the car. Yes I did notice that the hood had been changed yet doesn't appear on the parts list. Maybe the final product just utilizes the existing curvature of the stock hood? Who knows, we'll find out in 5-6 weeks.

I can easily picture this kit on my blacked out 2013 FX50s 5.0 with the roof rails remaining in place. Love it! (Hope i'm not disappointed though, not many other options.)
 
Until the Sebastian Vettel body kit becomes available commercially or as a replica I don't really see too many good options...

It likely won't become available - you should be on the lookout for replicas, but even then it may be difficult because it's hard for bodykit makers to get their hands on a SV edition to make molds, etc. (Usually how knockoffs are made for body kits)
You could go custom and bring pictures for reference - the SV kit isn't really too crazy and I think it would not be too difficult to replicate the look of it if you bring it to a competent custom shop

Yeah I've seen that first one before, not a fan. It looks kinda cheap to me. I think Jbaker hit the nail on the head, somebody needs to go ahead and replicate the Vettel Kit. Might be me! :)

Christ, that car in the second link looks ridiculous. The Infiniti is meant to be an elegant, professional and subtle vehicle; so much for that....

Thanks RIPnFX, the OEM is ok but that Vettel kit really has set the bench mark for me. It's either that or nothing at all at this point.

Just contacted a local QLD company whom makes insane body kits, and he's confident that he make make an exact replica of the Vettel edition. WIN! Will let you know how it pans out.

Can I get your opinions? Which I obviously value because you've made me hate the FX-51 kit... :)

Considering that my car is going to be 100% blacked out, do you think that if I had a replica of the Vettel kit made (only FRONT and REAR bumper and Skirts, no wing thing) it would look ok if i matched it to the obsidian black factory paint rather than the carbon fibre look? Do you think the only reason why the vettel looks good is because it's contrasted against the white paint?

I think it would look amazing even if it was paint matched... Just like this! It's like looking into the future! Give me 2-4 weeks.

i'm confused...... What? It's a picture of the Vettel Edition rendered in black so that i can gain constructive feedback regarding the black on black... Where's the problem?

i was telling about F-51 body kit from first post.

But as i can see Vettel edition body kit at dealers place i can tell that quality of it is not so good as it's announced
 
Ok, that's makes sense. You and jbaker have made me hate the FX-51 kit, you're right it does look a little bit weird. Well that's interesting, regarding the Vettel edition. Do you mean poor production quality? That shouldn't matter to me that much because mine will be be custom made and matched to the body color. Who know's, mine might be better than Vettel's ;) What do you think about the look? You've got a blacked out ride, how does this strike you?

i don't like Vettele edition :) F-51 is better the only one minus is price, but in Russia lower than 8000$ you won't find normal body kit:(
I now guy who made replica of Vettel in Ukraine
 
George, can you put me in touch with the guy whom made a replica of the Vettel body kit?

Can you do some digging? Because I can't find an example of a replica kit anywhere. Can you guys check out the replica vettel thread i started?
