Has anyone swapped out their rear differential fluid with synthetic 75w-90?

The following companies have that oil available:

Mobil 1
Redline
Amsoil

The dealer has their own version with no label on it, makes me weary of using something that is afraid to advertise itself.

I'm in Toronto and need to locate this stuff.

I'm using Mobil1, no issues, but I think any of those fluids would be fine. Dealer probably uses BG, it's what most Nissan/Infiniti dealers use here in the states for their in house fluids.

Nice, do you use it in the front diff? I know the manual doesn't specify but maybe because it's not required. Probably better for it though.

I think you are fine with all those, just make sure it is GL-5 compatible whatever you decide to get. I am using Royal Purple Max Gear myself, no complaints.

I appreciate all the feedback, just wanted to make an educated choice based on real world experiences. There's great products and then products with nice labels.

Btw, do you guys put the same synthetic oil in the front diff?

I used the same oil for front and rear diff. I think the requirements are the same, it's just the transfer case that's different.

True, if it takes the same fluid stock and with the tow package they state to switch the rear with synthetic, the front will take it too. They only state to upgrade the rear diff oil to synthetic because it works full time and takes on most of the work.

I called a place that sells performance products (JRP) and they told me they recommend Redline for Infiniti's and Nissans as the others tend to have weird issues?

Motul is hard to get around here, it's by order only. I could wait to get it, though I'll be paying a premium for an oil that will be used on a street driven car. So I picked up some redline, can't wait to use it. Just too cold for the diffs to warm up right now.

So I put in Redline's 75W90 synthetic gear oil in both the front and rear diff, let me tell you WOW!! what a difference it made. You can feel the car's smoother, quieter, and it takes the engine less effort to move the car. I'm already noticing a different on mpg.

Time for the transfer case, contemplating which oil to put in there...unless Nissan uses a specific one.

That is great to hear, it made that much difference, perhaps I will make the switch in the spring.

It surely has, it feels more fluid even in the cold winter days we've had, it helps. Just wondering what fluid I can use in the transfer case, need to read up on that..
