Nissan to Pull Production of All Infiniti Models Out of Japan

Not happy about this one bit :mad.: Sure it's good for American workers here if they move the plants here, but what about us car enthusiasts? I really hope the quality doesn't go down. First Ghosn signs deals with Benz to use their engines in Infiniti's and now this?

I'd like to see how this goes.... I don't think production will be moved here anytime soon though as they just started building the new M and QX in Japan last year and those run through 5-6 year cycles until a new redesign. So I don't think all of them will be built here anytime soon.

All of the Toyota's that had those issues a couple years ago were only the non-Japan (maybe US made?) models...

I think so. My uncles GX460 and some other Lexus models that were built in Japan never had the acceleration issues. Only one that did was the ES350 but that one is built in the U.S?

My Subaru Legacy was built in Indiana and I found a 10mm socket in the door...the rattling was driving me crazy....

anything that can save $$ ..... ugh.

This makes me think that the new FX 3rd gen has a shot of being built in the US fully :(

Hey at least now if someone tells you, "Drive American" you can reply with pride (or lack of), "Oh sir, but I am!"

I think it's a move to try and help our economy but hopefully they will use all original Nissan parts and make sure the quality is good. Just don't sell out to GM, you saw what happened to Pontiac and Saab.
