Anyone have interest going? I think its half off or something for the first week of april. They are open weeknights 5-9.

Great lakes drag way. In union grove Wisconsin. It takes me little over an hour to get there and takes me about an hour or so to get to Andy's.

Figure since some of u guys are running unichip and or planning transgo mods. This would be a perfect bench mark for you guys. Figure out what adjustments makes your car actually faster on paper vs dyno butt.

I don't remember when the should half off is over. But you can race all you want for like $12-13. I'll be going on of these nights to see what I can pull.

I would love to go to something like this. Decently close and a great price! Not many times out there with Transgo and Unichip, you are right. But I haven't done the Transgo, electric fan conversion, and swapped my ported manifold yet. I hope to get all that done by the end of April.

what i was saying about benchmarking was to get a BEFORE and after. Saying you can run a 13.2 after all your mods doesn't mean much because no one knows what you ran before that.

If your car runs a 14.0 now and after your manifold, transgo took to you a 13.5 and e-fan did 13.2 then now you have progress. Then playing with unichip can take you to 13.0.

I'm doing it to see what HFC can do for me. I was leaning towards going there tuesday or friday night. Opening day is today, but on the other locals boards i'm part of, there is a TON of people going.

Oh, that's a good way of looking at it. I wasn't thinking before and after. Honestly, I care more about how I do when I have everything done, lol.

It would be curious how amount of gas, air temp and pressure could affect the run. If u ran it last time at 35 and next ran it on a day when it's 85 and humid, I would think it would
Impact more than just a tiny bit....if we are talking about seeing how the smallest mods can influence run times, results could be misleading.

I've also heard that an intake mod can run better when cold but actually do worse when hot. If u want an accurate comparison almost seems like u have to go on a similar day within a few days of each other I would think.

Nice. I've been to Union Grove many times. Back in high school I worked at a drive in restaurant and we'd always go out there with a bunch of old muscle cars and have a great time. The most fun was driving our bright yellow '57 Chevy Panel Truck with a LS1 in it... :)

Hmmm, can't go on Tuesday. Friday anyone?

I'm down for Friday as well. All the same to me. Gives me a little more time to spend installing the hfc.

Last time I was there, the Lexus isf put a hurting on me all night. But it was a blast.

Macgyver Andy will make his FX remote control and beat your 60lb niece.
I was gonna say, loose the 60lb and run it with remote control :smile (2):
That's what I'm afraid of! He can make anything happen! :eek.:
Not anything thing. Just handy enough around cars to lend a hand here and there :smile (2):

Talk about making thing happens. Chris was here and I figured out why some studs were longer then other. I'll post the details later. Chris happy that he got his summer wheels & tires on. "Summer is officially here" said Chris as he drove off on this summer wheels :smile (2):

Nice Chris, almost two months earlier than last year. You had winters on at the end of May, lolol. Too bad there's no track thats closer to us in IL. They don't do anything like this down in Joliet Speedway?

Yeah, whew Andy was able to figure out the stud madness. Apparently, the front studs are longer then the back and at the time Andy swap me back from the extend studs to OEM we had the mind set that all were the same size. So, it was all mixed up and we learned something. Also there is a indentation printed on the back of the longer studs to distinguish them from the shorter ones go figure.

There are mainly two close tracks.
GLD which is the one I mentioned, open weekdays and weekends. And Byron dragway, which is near Rockford. They are open only on weekends but not all weekends is open for normal racing. They race snow sleds, power wheelies and etc.

I'll be going sometime this week for sure. But maybe we can make a little meet down the road. Try to go when its like cool out and not 85 degrees, if its 85+ all of us will be running 20s
