Rather than just buy led bulbs from ebay. I decided make my own license plate
light. give it a better look . what you all think?

from start to finish is about 2 hrs. how hard it is? depending on your skill,
making circuit from blank clad board and soldering are the main thing that is time
consuming. It is completely plug n play. any one interested PM. I don't want to
violate site policy etc....

Don't like how it has multiple row of leds. I like it one row I think it look cleaner and flow better with the car.

Nice job. While I appreciate the electronics know-how behind this, am I the only one who likes limited light on the license plate? It just seems like its putting the focus on the least impressive part of the whole car. I guess that's why I bought a black one, I love that dark stealth look at night.

I agreed. Its the camera angle that capture the light directly and make it appear very bright. in normal traffic you only gonna see reflection of it. I don't want it to be super bright where it take the focus off the over all of the car. My intent was to have whiter light and wider spread of light and pretty cool looking
plate light when hatch is open. not too bright but still very clean and enhance the look of the car. beauty of custom made is I can adjust the brightness to my liking.
this one happen to be just wright the first time. that never happen .
