2009 Infiniti FX35

well i have a strut bar thats been sitting in my closet for a few month, gonna put that on. The silver vent is really getting on my nerves, I'm going to plastic dip it next time I wash the car. Maybe I will go all out and plastic dip the trim and the roof bars too:rotfl:

Right now I see this in the future:
-Drop. H&R or Eibach?
-Oem lip. I would like the entire kit but thats way too expensive
-HFC. Still doing research on what to get

Totally agree with you on the side vent. Plastic dip will be good. I would give it a gloss black to match the body to complete the look though. Not sure if I would wanted to black out the trims and roof rail though. It would make the chrome trim around the windows screaming out loud if you leave it and the rest all black out

There were a few Eibach incidents on the first gen. Not sure if that carries over to the second gen or not.

Ah, the lip. It a must have on the second. Can't stand looking at the big old black plastic of the lower front bumper. Get it on already. Yeah, the whole kit is expensive, but man, it really complete the look. I seen RIPnFX ride in person. I love the full kit.

HFC. I reserve my opinion until I get a chance to hear or ride in one.

You got a good list going there.

Yea People's been telling me the same thing to leave the silver bits along except for the vents, Don't really want a totally murdered out ride. Weather still sucks havn't got around the plastic dipping it yet but I'm not thinking to put the vent the same color as the wheels. What do you guys think?

I got a quote on lowering spring to be installed. Around $500 so just about the same as the lips... I can only do one mod right now and i'm thinking about lowering first cause it looks good plus it makes the car handle a little better. Been reading up on the cambering issue though and it worries me a little.... Cant afford new tire every few months...

IMO, the vent should be body color. What if you change the wheel, repaint the vent. I doesn't make sense to me. $400 for springs install in my area. The lip install is any easy DIY. Wayne (GEE35FX) have a DIY on here. I would choose the lip before the drop, since the drop will cost you new tire due to camber issue.

how bad is the camber issue? Lip is reallly cool but i'm a stance guy and the gap really really really bothers me....
I thought I read that you only have 30,000 kms on your FX. You don't put a lot of mileage on so the camber problem might not be much of an issue for you. I had mine removed because they told me my tires would be worn out on just one of my long distance trips (I put 16,000 on in one trip)
The. Lip definitely is the best bang for your buck on the 2nd Gen.
Oh, and I paid just over $300 for spring install.

No I'm clock 60,000 km just now.... Don't know if that's normal for almost 4 years but I do drive it quite a bit everyday. So if I only do h&r drop how much tire wear are we talking about? $300 I'm so jealous it's $500 and up to install it here. Labour is expensive :( I think I'm going to go with the lips first than.
