hard to decide? black or polished?

So I got my wheels in a few weeks ago. 22x10.5 status knights. I love the black lip and the 5 spoke design with a big 6" lip.....BUT I wish the spokes were black. So what did I do? electrical tape :) added 5 HP per a wheel :tup: LOL okay just joking but for real I'm really digging the black spokes. brings the wheel out more. bad thing is the chrome door handles and chrome grill will not go good with I think? or will it. guys give me some pointers? what if I painted my handles and grill black?

LOL LOL LOL i agree on the black part and BBK kits...BUT! I just do not have 3000 to dump into breaks. I would love to have a BBK but yikes:eek.: Im happy with buying a good set of drilled and slotted rotors and paint the calipers silver. :smug:
 
paint your grill, door handles, inside of your headlights and the infiniti signs on your trunk gloss black, and when you put your rims drop the car and do your roof black, now if you do all of these it'll be one sick fx for sure!

Yeah, it's an expensive mod. You can live w/o it. After I got MY wheels, I realized there were soooo much exposed, and didn't want to spend the money on BBKs too, which is why you rarely see my FX photographed completely from the side :tongue (2):
 
Brilliant, LOL. I'm going to have to start taking pics like that when I get my 22s on in a few weeks. There's no way I'm getting a BBK anytime soon.

okay I did a test fit to see if i like the black. im going to take the tape off and post another picture there is a 1/4" gap between the spokes and the caliper and at wheel turned all angles was clear. But ill have to check it again once the coilovers go on next week.
IMO I like the black especially once I get the calipers painted and some drilled and slotted rotors. Do you guys think the chrome door handles with collide with all black wheels.

Tape your handles black and take a picture, i would like to see what they look like if you were to paint them black.
 
I don't think it would collide or clash. If the lip or outer rim is silver or chrome, then it's all good, it's nice having some bright accents on the car. If he did his handles black, then the headlights, grille, and body-side moldings should follow.
 
I don't think it clashes at all with the chrome. The silver pinstripe on the lip, plus the rivets, plus the lower chrome strip on the rocker panel all flows.

Some sport headlights and tailights and you are set!

Well also coilovers/lowering springs and possibly the FX50 BBK conversion also lol. But those are big ticket items compared to what I mentioned.
 
So I cleaned the car up reall good yesterday and have all four wheels on. so when I get home im going to take some good pictures and upload them to photobucket and post them. this will be about 4pm cst. So far I get plenty of looks and turned heads,lol. Now im anxious about the coilovers and drilled slotted rotors.
