Electronic Power Liftgate Finally!

Haha I got no more pics. I got it off my friend that works at the dealer :-)
 
When I got my 2Gen Murano LE in early 2008, it had a power liftgate that I found very useful - I sort of expected my new FX50 to have it too. Well... if I waited s few months and paid s little more :(

2009+ Murano also has heated power folding rear seats. I guess we can't have everything :-(


But I just couldn't stand that CVT tranny on a day to day basis.

Heated seats in the Murano also got hot! :) But yes... every time I stepped on the gas I felt it would just bog down like there was some sort of throttle limiter that just didn't want to let go. But on the plus side, without the power lift gate, I can't wake up to a car with the back open! Had that happen a couple of times with an accidental push of the lift gate button.
 
Same for me with an Altima. I had a chance to drive an 09 Altima last year with the CVT tranny and couldn't stand the CVT. It just felt like the car was being limited with the CVT.
 
security issue???

it just make me wonder with all the convience of the lift gate. do any of you think that a thief will find a way to open the lift gate like with the driver side door handle. these toys are nice to have, but are we making it easy on ourselves to become victimS? :err:

????

You can't even open the lift gate with the driver side door handle. You can only do it buy the key fob or button on the lift gate.
 
Best power lift gate I've seen was on tv this morning.... chicago auto show was on and I believe it was a ford that had an option where you wiggle your feet under the rear bumper and the liftgate would open.. very handy when you have bags and groceries and can't spare a finger to hit the button on the remote..

That's one of the reasons why they didn't put it on in the first place. But then people started whining that they wanted the power trunks, so they gave it to them.

That option is interesting. I believe it was on a new passat
