Just like the bloated title line indicates, I am obsessing with the idea of going matte black over the entire sheet metal wonderland that is the 2010 FX50S. I would love your thoughts on this important subject... ready go!

here are two examples

the orange corvette is scratch proof.

I don't mind the black - Just make sure you get satin/matte wrap with a slight sheen and not the flatter version. Never have liked the flat chalkboard look that some black matte wraps seem to have.

Like the recommendation of different colors, I am on a black kick though.

Good call, if I do wrap it ill go with a nice finish. Does wrapping damage the paint at all?

no wrapping does not damage paint might actually protect it somewhat.

my last quote for wrapping the whole car was $1,500 but that was with sponsorship.

I have only seen two matte black 2nd gen FX's and if done right it will look good if not then well it wont look right.

I would do flat black. There are some cars out here that I have seen (IS 250, BMW 5, A4) and it looks so aggressive, especially with the flat rims!

Matte black is sooooo "2008"

+1

And I saw in your other thread that your going for something classy. Well doing it in matte black won't look classy at all. It'll take away all the class from it. I think matte is more of a custom thing, but not classy.

does anyone have more info on this fx? such as suspension, etc... i'm actually looking forward to do mine like this. lol can't live with out turbos vehicle.
