Folks remember to keep May 28th open for the C7 Spring Cruise.
Here is a bit of info:

Spring Cruise
Saturday May 28th 2011
Starting Point : AMC Oakville (QEW and Winston Churchill)
End Point : Cayuga

I will have more info in a couple of weeks and I will start a new thread concerning the meet/cruise.
I have been going to these runs for the last 4 or 5 Cruises and they are always fun. It would be nice to have a bunch of FX's there to represent. I am always the only FX in our group of 10+ G35 sedans and coupes.
This year it would be nice to see a row of FXs instead of one FX with a bunch of G35s like this:

Hmmm maybe. 4.5 hours away. Wayne, is your wife going and how many wives show up at the meets? Is this one of the bigger ones or at there bigger ones coming up possibly even closer?

It's 3 hours away for me Jonas.
Yes, my wife always comes along, she enjoys it as much as I. There are quite a few that have their wives with them and a few girls bring their cars also on this meet. There is also a Fall Cruise that is a bit further away by the same group.
This one can involve as many as 300-500 cars.
 
Great thanks! I'll mention it to Kim....she's been wanting to go to Toronto for awhile now. This may be a good time to go....

Sounds great. The chances of us coming are high since I also just realized that it's memorial day weekend. Maybe we'll come up Thursday night and Friday explore Toronto and maybe find a place to stay at the end point Sat night too. We'll see. I'm excited. :)

Have a good time on your vacation. PM me any suggestions/ideas on things to do/see in Toronto that time of the year too just to get more ideas if you can...

I have confirmed with Kim we will be coming to Toronto Memorial day weekend and hanging out at the meet!

I took Thursday-Monday off and she'll get out probably 1/2 day Friday, so we'll drive up to Toronto Friday night. Check out Toronto Sat morning or so and then do the meet and hang out. Haven't figured out Sat or Sun yet though what we'll do out there yet, but look forward to seeing you! :smile (2):
 
Wayne, is the road coarse the actual 1 hour cruise? Are you registering for the dragway and/or plan on spectating?

Jonas I am not registering for the dragway but I may spectate at the track which is only $5/person. Last year they wanted much more to be a spectator and the organizers negotiated to get the reduced rate.

For the cruise, they want you to be at the start around 9am. So when you arrive we organize in our groups. We then mingle and look at other cars (everything from Infinitis, Bimmers, Porsches, old muscle cars, VW's etc)

We hand in our Waiver sheets and are given instructions on paper for the Cruise (we will have someone in our group that has done the pre-cruise a few weeks earlier.) The cruise itself is safe and on good roads, usually with some great scenery and twisties thrown in.

At 10 the first group leaves then each other group leaves in 10 minute intervals. I think I read that this one is about 110 kms to get to the Speedway. We are usually on the road about 2 hours to get to the speedway.
Afterwords a few of us usually stop somewhere for a late lunch and beverages.

It makes for a good day.
