Seen some people out there start little threads for their FX MOD updates. Since I'm doing MODS here and there I thought I would start a little one of my own. I'm going to put the name of the updated MODS in the title so when somebody does a "Search" they can find something they might be interested in.
(ADMIN), if this all a bad idea let me know and Ill go back to normal postings.)

Where this is where I stand now::sluggish:
Installed a MOMO Shift knob----Today
HKS Radiator cap -----Today
JDM Wire Harness Cover -----Last Week

Pending:
SAMCO hose kit: Was going yellow but changed mind to BLUE
Wire Wrap: Had started with red but the "sheath" was going to be a pain in the ass so I gave up and ordered some T6 in Orange. It comes in next week. Now I can get the cables without dismantling everything:wink (2):

Maybe it's just me, but I like consistency in the bay. You have some hotness going on for sure, but it seems like you are still trying to decide which direction to go?

Right now the coolant overflow reservoir, the GTSpec STB brackets, the oil dipstick handle and the washer fluid cap seem out of place to me, unless you plan to add in some more yellows and blues? Any more plans for those items?

I like the way the wire harness looks with the wrap. I have been using Techflex on parts of my harness - the parts easy to reach, remove and cover. It was tough to have to remove the retention clips and then deal with all the harness splitting. With the tape you can make it all look uniform without joints - and any color you want.

Nice work. Besides your wheels, this is the second mod I might be stealing from ya. Think my Techflex might be coming off.

When it comes to the engine bay Im waiting for everything to come together had to do a color scheme change for what I was going for.
I wanted yellow Samco hoses and red cable wrap. The problem's I had were 1st: the Hose's. I was going to need to wait 5-6 weeks for the hose to be made and shipped from Britain 230$. So I painted the Coolant tank to match the hoses I had planned. I gave up on the Yellow hoses so I have now Blue hoses on hand. (putting them on the 15th).
2nd: I wanted to do all the wires in red. The problem I had was with the "Sleeve" was that I could not slide it over some of the connectors it the harness. Im not going to pay somebody here 300-400$ to wrap my cables when I can do it myself:confused.:. So for around 60-70$ I ordered different sets of the T6 cable wrap in "high visibility orange". Now I can wrap the cables and not need to disconnect everything or cut and splice and still have a clean look to it. I will tape the ends of the wrap.
I think after the plenum and harness cover get powder coated black chrome with orange cables and blue hoses that it will look better.
Reservoir Orange or Red still debating that one or just leave Yellow. When everything in the bay is in place Ill take a look at what color to change it. I like it where things in the bay are contrast to one another. Strut bar will stay silver but will paint the mounts.
ONE STEP AT A TIME:wink (2):

I hear ya. Waiting for exactly the right part pays off, trust me on that one. A few weeks here or there isn't going to kill ya.

I say paint the plenum and the harness cover to match the intake tube. It's totally unique and a sweet color along with the other plans you have. Good luck!

Thanks Jumbo
Im going to do the black chrome for now. If don't like it then Bronze was my next pick. thats one thing about paint. If you don't like it then it can be easily fixed or try something else till you get it right.

Found a Scene here in El paso last night. Not sure if there are any FX's (from what I understand there aren't any). But I did get a New guy to the scene NotoriousYogi. I think IS will help him with his plans/ ideas. Even though he has a honda he can get great car advice here. I'm sure you guys will take care of him. He is still in High School so a FX is a little out of his price range.
You all be good to my new guy:wink (2):

UPDATE:
Yes I did the 3M-Carbon wrap myself, TIP-Take your time and think before cut.

Installed a Cusco Catch Can this mourning. It works, but I'm not digging its placement. Later today after it cools down I'm going to move it down next to the Coolant Reservoir. When my Skunk2 Reservoir comes in next week they will go great together.:wink (2):

If you notice the right hose at the end next to the valve cover already has some discoloration from the oil mist.:tongue (2):
