First of all, thanks to Gordon for all the assistance.

The look is badass, the sound is awesome. There's definitively a noticeable gain in acceleration, I love it. When starting the car the sound is really nice and aggressive.

There's one thing I don't like though: the shifting of gears between 1st and 2nd in low RPM the exhaust sounds way too loud in the inside of the car.

The FX is much sportier now, but it's less elegant. I have to take a bank executive for dinner next week and Im thinking of taking my wive's Land Cruiser instead because I don't want him to think that Im not a serious businessman.

Before the FX was pretty balanced between Sporty and Elegant, now it's more sportier and a little less elegant. Without clients in the car though, I love accelerating it just to hear it roar!

This is my honest comment of the invidia exhaust.

I was just going to post something up like this. I just put my Invidia on tonight with my buddy and I'll have to say that its fu**ing amazing.
It sounds nice, couldn't fit any better (very easy to install) and it looks mean. Definitely worth every penny. Thanks a lot Gordon.

I think i have the opposite problem. Have the exhaust on for about 2 weeks as well. I think i'm getting too use to it already. I think its too quiet! Don't really notice it unless i'm in a close off area or place with echo and of course at WOT.

I love how it look and sound :) now i just need to get rid of the stock rims. I think I will stick a HFC on in the future, i though i would mind the increase noice with just the catback but seeing how i'm already use to it after 2 week I think i need more sound

I would invest a few hours in applying sound deadener in the trunk/cargo area and a few more hors applying sound deadener in the rear seat section. It made a difference in my ride and probably made the difference in my thought of possibly removing my Invidia exhaust and re-installing my OEM system. I agree with the in cabin perception, while I appreciate the external sound I prefer a quiet cabin.

The OEM exhaust is built to minimize sound while maintaining a very nice exhaust note. It's a difficult balance but you can make sound changes to maintain your gains without losing your passenger ride experience (quality sound deadener). FYI I am still tweaking my exhaust, I have heat shield hum in gear at stop lights and the pipes tap out on the sway bar when I hit staggered potholes but one more visit to the shop and I hope to be good to go. If you like a greater % of what you are getting back from the system see what you can do to make it work.

Hey Logan, I had the same problem with the pipe tap on the sway bar when going over a some rough road. I learn from a member here that he had Gordon work on it by bending the hanger up just a little and the tapping is gone. So I crawl under mine and did the same thing by bending the middle hanger (the one closest to the sway bar) on the driver side it solve my pipe tap problem. Just insert a pipe onto the end of the hanger and give it a couple of downward pull. Now be care not to pull to much now as it may create a big dent in the pipe or break at the welding joint.

Yea, I also notice the cabin noise it a bit loud at times. My love of the tone and gain is more than the cabin noise, so I'll try to sound proof the cargo and rear seats area as you suggested. Thanks

ONE MORE THING... to the people that are complaining about the transmission acting up, you can also HEAR it now (with the invidia gemini exhaust), not just feel it. So my recommendation is to get the transmission fixed before getting the exhaust.

I have to take my car back to the shop monday to get the tips fixed, since they stick out a little too far, then I PROMISE to post a video of the sound, the in cabin noise and the acceleration, but from inside the car.

The performance is really nice!

I just notice that when i hit a rough patch of the road i hear some metallic sound coming from around the shifter area, its not a clunk, sounds more tiny metallic things rattling against each other. its hard to duplicate as i have to hit the rough patch at a certain angle with both wheels for it to make that sound. is it the exhaust? doesn't come up when revving or anything though.

Also is the tip adjustable or do i have to reweld it to get it to not stick out so far

Maybe check the heat shields around the catalytic converters? The tips do adjust but the pipes come a bit too long and when you try to adjust shorter they bottom out. Would be better if they were slightly shorter then they would be truly adjustable. Next time I am in the shop I am going to get about an inch cut off mine.

I'm going to check my interior first, just took a drive and it sounds like is coming from inside. I wouldn't be surprise if i have lose coins thats causing this. But if the exhuast is hitting the heat shield shouldn't it be more of a loud clunk than a gentle rattle like what i'm hearing now?

about the adjustment is there only 2 option stick out too long or go in too far that it bottoms out? there is no in between? Can't really crawl under the car to check i don't even own jacks

Hard to say and if it keeps up you need to get under it but if its coins, that's an easy fix =). Most of the install pics I have seen show the tail pipes at the exact same position with regards to the bumper so I assume they are adjusted all the way in. Check it and see, it's an easy adjustment.

just remove everything in my car and took a ride. it was my pack of chewing gun bumping into each other that cause the rattle. problem solved:cool:

I had something similar happen to me, but it was my sunglasses in the above compartment. The damn thing drove me crazy for 3 days.

Thanks to Gordon and his quick delivery, I installed the Invidia Gemini - Catback Exhaust system on my 2010 FX35 yesterday. What an easy installation, does take two people but everything is a direct bolt-on with NO mods required. Took us about two hours total. If we had it up on a lift and had a air hammer it would have taken an hour. We were crawling around using a single floor jack. Sound is great. My 25 year old son liked that it didn't sound like a "rice rocket". Has more of the deep V8 kind of sound. It is a little on the loud side when you are getting on it, but if you are gentle on the pedal it is just a nice background burble. I think my gas mileage is going to go up as I get more visceral satisfaction with less throttle than with the OEM exhaust. I had it on the freeway last night with my son and his girl friend. Didn't really notice any objectionable droning. Starting it in the morning it provides real "dawn patrol" sounds . . . don't know why my FX insists on 2k rpm until I put it in reverse, anyone know? It's not cold here in Norcal, so that' not it.

Oh, I got the stainless rolled tips. No problem with spacing or getting them on tight enough. They look GREAT! The entire system shines and you really wish people could see under the car.

So I have Phillips Lumiled daylight running lights on the front and the Invidia on the back so I can look good coming and going.

Rhino, sound clips if you can get them please.

About cold starts, that is normal for your FX to fast idle starting at 2,000 rpm after sitting all night.
