21" OEM FX50S wheel question

There's not much of a tire selection. Last I looked, there are only these few types:

Dunlop SP Sport 01 (Ultra High Performance Summer)

I think he means a wider selection. Instead of doing a 265 I looked up a 285/45-21 and it gets pretty expensive
Goodyear Eagle NCT5 EMT (Grand Touring Summer)

.. mainly because the 21" is an oddball size.

^^21" is an oddball size. It posed a concern for me when I bought the 50. I figured that if it became a problem that I'd just go up to 22's.

ya i wanted to put michelin pilot supersports on the 21's but that aint going to happen. 22" is what i will need to do too. F 21" wheels the tire selection sucks.

Set of 4: $1,892.00
:eek.:

I paid I think $700 shipped for 265/40/22, brand new on ebay. I would cry if I had to spend that much on tires. You could pick up a set of 22" forged wheels at that price.

I just bought tires for a minivan, cost me $70/each

Yeah that is a ridiculous price for tires. Most I'd spend is like 1300 on the Dunlop Sports. The 295/40 setup would look sick though.

-Chedman you gotta remember their 21's.. very uncommon size. Everyone has 22s so they'll be cheaper.

No, I hear you -- I know why they are more expensive. I'm just still shocked when you x4, the total price.

Makes me second guess 21's.

Yeah it sucks but its our choice haha. Don't feel bad. If I wanted 22's or 24's I would of got them. I just like the clean OEM look.

Don't get me wrong -- I love the OEM 21's. I'd pick them up at the right price, but factoring in tires make it harder for the budget.

If yours came with 21's -- easy choice=)

295/40's ? I am running that specific size and they are excellent with regards to handling (and gearing=))

Thanks Logan, I was worried about the tires being too wide on the front.

I'm hoping I can find a better price somewhere.
I love the OEM wheels and just haven't seen anything else that compares. If I could find a set of 22s, I'd sell the OEMs and buy aftermarket wheels, but so far nothing has caught my eye.

If anyone has suggestions on wheels I'd love to see them.
