The Who's who of Houston meet?

I'm no stranger to car meets in Houston, from small local get togethers on the Northside to the larger meets such as Planet Zero on the south west side. But I'm very interested in setting up a little meet for FXers. Granted this is just an idea for now because I will be leaving the country this Saturday and won't be back until mid-June.

So how about it? Maybe we could all get together, I'll bring my SLR and snap a few sexy shots of our rides? I think that we could all make this fun. So throw some ideas in, we could plan this for late June early July, maybe have a BBQ? Anyway, just some food for thought but it would be nice to see other enthusiasts with FX's.

I am in!!!!!!!!! But it will be dependent on my schedule as I am in school this summer and apparantly am scehduled for 12s at the hospital. I am off on saturday afternoons though!
 
Definitely in for sure - but also better for me if we wait till you get back. My custom turbo install won't be finished till next month.

oh yeah, im in! Im not modded like you guys, i don't even have custom wheels, so i'll represent the stock look :rofl:

Early july works better for me.. and saturday afternoons work great!
 
lol - that post might be a lil out-dated. I'm actually over at Powerfab Auto, just down the street from JTran. I wanted to go to JTran, but we stopped communicating where Powerfab picked up the ball and really ran with it.

Car was dropped off on the 28th of last month, but my motor core is finishing up at the machine shop this coming Saturday so no fab or installation just yet. So far, fitment and layout has been hammered out. I expect to get the car back early next month.

I hope you are documenting everything and taking lots of pics for the forthcoming writeup I am currently hinting about lol.

I wanted to ask...remote mounted turbos?

Stock is great IMO. I have been told my ghetto chrome makes the FX look gawdy. Eh they were a steal from an Infiniti dealership and I had to have something to make it stand out a little in the interim.

Guess we haven't talked about my setup for a while, but it has changed a bit. Single 35R turbo, all custom piping, built motor. Turbo will be located where the NA CAI sits right now. Check the thread for the latest.
 
...maybe... 2 weeks away from being able to meet?

So in this photo my boy at Powerfab is taking off the plastic of my longblock package (dude has a SICK G). I showed my wife the photo and she said to me, "Wow! Is he picking up that engine?" I LOL'd. If only the VQ was so light you could just manhandle it like that. Freakin awesome motor that VQ!!! Now if only the tranny were as light...

Just returned from my vacation in the east and man, it's SOO GOOD to be home in the USA. There's nothing like seeing people who have it way less fortunate than yourself the make you see how privileged you really have it here at home. First thing I did when I got back was unlock my car and sit in the drivers seat. I now have a love that is 20x greater for my car than when I left, and not just my car, but my home, my bed, everything! So back to the original topic, when're we all gonna meet?!?! I'm ready to get some grub and see some clean ass FXs!
 
I'm down - let's set up something! I think KNFX mentioned July is best for him. Is that planning way too far ahead?

Don't have my car back yet anyway... hopefully by the end of next week.
 
I have a feeling if you plan something, KNFX will probably be there. He's been to more Dallas meets than the Dallas people, aside from myself. :tongue (2):
 
oh yeah, im down as long as I know a little bit in advance. Gotta find a sitter for the little one if the wife is working. As far as I know anytime after the 4th works for me, as I am leaving the country for about a week starting... next week! yay! hahahaha
