Kenwood DNX9240BT

nice looking unit, a quick search and found it was only available in UK (Europe) ?!

Yes, it does look like it. :err:
For this area i found this though. It does look a lot similar:

(can not use the http as result of < 10 posts )

Are you going to install the kit in the factory screen location?

That's the idea.
We will install the DNX9240BT where the analog clock is located.
There I will be able to switch f.e. the view the navigation to the factory screen andd play a DVD on the DNX9240BT screen and also have the possibility of switching the view to the roof display.

It appears that the DNX9240BT won't perfectly fit in the clock place.
This is because of the double din system. There's not enough space to fit a system that deep.
I want it to fit perfectly, so we decided to use the Kenwood KOS V1000 instead and combine it with this screen: KOS-L702.
It gives us the opportunity to connect all other devices (see below).

The oem features will be kept intact.
The boys are trying to build in the unit (stripped from a dvd player) in place of the oem cd position.

To be continued.........

Pretty slick man, looking forward to seeing the final touches with everything back in place......do they intend to add a bezel or finish ring to fill in the gaps?

No pictures today (nothing exiting..that is..in visual terms)
However...they managed to put the stripped dvdplayer in place of the oem cd player and make it work with the oem buttons!

Awesome! My OEM cd player is worthless to me. Glad you're taking advantage of the spot. Should look clean and be useful.
