Hi Guys, I usually get over 300miles from a full tank (93 oct) , but last few weeks it drop. now I only get 240miles I didn't change anything use BP 93oct & same driving style any idea or any suggestions? Please guys.....:tears:
Thanks.

do you use any fuel addictive to improve the fuel or clean the injectors that might help a bit.. whats your milage? your FX my be do for a 60k maitanace.

ya, how many miles on the FX?
could be a dirty air filter, bad spark plug, tires low on air (all added up would end in decreased mpg)

also , maybe the local gas station is changing to a winter blend of gas?

I get about ~360 mpg

Most likely in the past few weeks there was a change in your driving habits (heavier foot) or the road conditions you have been driving on has changed (hillier terrain) which has lead to the computer updating the mpg.

wow!!!! it might be time for some maintenance sometimes the gas station get a bad batch but should have dipped down that low. I get about 420 and I have a v8. there might be time for some injector cleaner, air pressure check and air filter cleaning.

05 Fx35 it have 45000 miles, few months ago I change the air filter (k&n) & tiers. after these changers I got over 300miles. I fill the tank on Friday only drove 50miles today I check the fuel info and it only show 190miles to empty. I don't know what to do. need help guys.....
Thanks

You should probably do a manual calculation.

Fill it up and calculate:

23 gallon start and note the miles on the odometer
When you get close to being ready to fill up, subtract the amount of miles at fillup from the starting figure and divide that by the number of gallons to refill.

I did reset few times but no luck. also today I remove the negative cable on the battery to reset the ECU, left it for 3 hours. but it didn't reset the ECU. I still have the same info on the screen, as an example trip 1 & trip 2 info I had on screen b4 I remove the negative cable still on the memory and still have the same reading. :tears:

Thanks.

Leave the cable off over night. Also after taking off the cable, pump the brake a couple times.

Also, you can do the, "pedal dance". Just search for it here on the forum to find out how.

Ummmm.... the math doesn't work. 17.5 mpg x 20 gal tank = 350 miles. You have a bigger tank? For 420 miles on one tank at 17.5 mpgs, you would need a 24 gallon tank, and would use every last drop.

Dont fxs have a 24 gallon tank i know i can get around 21 gallons on fill up what you mean the math dont add up

On the freeway i can get around 17.5 to 18 miles to the gallon fx have 23.8 gallon tank so the math aint wrong. I average 17.5 in combination but i get better miles to the gallon on the freeway i dont do much city driving i live in washington state so that is considered freeway miles
